Race 1: Status Plus QTIS Two-Years-Old Maiden Handicap 950 metres:
1st – ALBERT THE ROCKET 2nd – MY FRIEND ROB 3rd – BEYOND LIMITS 4th – WATCH ME DAZZLE EM

HUNGRY HORSE – Was slowly away. Jockey K Stone reported that the gelding which was having its 1st race start was reluctant to stretch out in the heavy track conditions.

ZARA LOUISE – Was inclined to race greenly throughout after being slowly away. Jockey N Yadi reported that the filly had failed to handle the heavy track conditions.

MAGIC SAGA – Was slowly into stride after beginning awkwardly.

ALPINE ROCKET – Became unbalanced after shifting in and making contact with the running rail near the 500 metres.

MY FRIEND ROB – Jockey P Cullen reported that the colt was inclined to lay out down the running placing him at a disadvantage.

Stewards, acting under the provisions of AR137A, issued Jockey F Edwards with a fine in the sum of $200 under the provisions of AR137A for using the whip on BEYOND LIMITS on 6 occasions prior to the 100 metres, 1 more than is permitted under the rule.

Race 2: Worldsmart Retail Maiden Plate 950 metres:
1st – SEEYAWHENISEEYA 2nd – BAR BABY 3rd – PALE FACE ROCKET 4th – DIAMONDNET

The start of this event was delayed due to the ambulance becoming bogged on the verge of the inner track.

DIAMONDNET – Was slowly into stride.

ADEPERO – Was slowly into stride after beginning awkwardly.

PALE FACE ROCKET – Was inconvenienced when crowded between runners soon after the start. Was inclined to lay in under pressure approaching the winning post.

BAR BABY – Had to be restrained off heels near the 600 metres when the pace slackened.

SEEYAWHENISEEYA – Was inclined to race greenly down the running.

Race 3: Piccone’s Village On Pease Street Benchmark 45 Handicap 1250 metres:
1st – ROYAL COUPE 2nd – FAST’N’SHARP 3rd – CUT’N’POLISH 4th – GREAT PRETENDER

GREAT PRETENDER – Was slowly away after beginning awkwardly.

CASHED UP BULLY – Was slowly away.

FAST’N’SHARP – Was inclined to shift in under pressure near the 100 metres momentarily inconveniencing another runner.

DRAGON HART – Was momentarily inconvenienced near the 100 metres by another runner which was inclined to shift in under pressure.

Race 4: IGA Cup Open B Handicap 1250 metres:
1st – DAZZLE ON 2nd – CHEVAL ARGENTE 3rd – MIATA 4th – BO ROSSA

MAN AROUND TOWN – Jockey S Wiseman reported that the gelding had failed to handle the heavy track conditions.

CLEAVER which performed below market expectations was inspected by the veterinarian and no abnormalities were detected. Jockey G Kliese was of the opinion that the gelding had not handled the heavy track conditions.

Race 5: Cairns Taxis Magic Millions FNQ Up & Coming Stayers Benchmark 60 Handicap 1900 metres:
1st – JORDAN 2nd – KAMARAH 3rd – DESERT GAMBLER 4th – HOTEL SPLENDIDO

MEADOW DREAMER - Was inconvenienced when crowded between runners soon after the start.

SIX BEAT – Was inclined to race ungenerously in the early stages.

HOTEL SPLENDIDO – Jumped the crossing near the 1500 metres..
