Massingham Race 1: PROGIG Class B Handicap – 950 metres1st - POSSIBLE 2nd – ONE FOR THE TON 3rd – SECOND TIME AROUND 4th – CASINO ESCAPEE SECOND TIME AROUND - broke through the barrier gate shortly after being loaded. SECOND TIME AROUND was inspected by the veterinarian and passed fit to start. GLOW LION GO - was difficult to load into the barriers. POSSIBLE - was slow into stride as the start was effected. GLOW LION GO - bumped with another runner as the start was effected. SAY LA FI GLOW - bumped with another runner as the start was effected. Raced fiercely approaching the 600 metre point. POSSIBLE - was forced wide over the concluding stages of the race. ONE FOR THE TON - shifted out under pressure over the concluding stages of the race. Race 2: SUN TOURISM Benchmark 60 Handicap – 1600 metres1st COUTAINVILLE 2nd SHOWMOREL, 3rd GLOBAL GURU, 4th ISLAND BAR GLOBAL GURU - was slow to begin. HERE TO DASH - hung out for the majority. Race 3: BIG BOYZ BINZ Benchmark 65 Handicap – 1250 metres1st CRAIGLEA ALDI 2nd ALEXANDER PARADE 3rd LIL’ RED MONKEY 4th CARACAS SAPODILLA - was scratched by Stewards at 11:30 am due to no rider being available. CARACAS - was slow into stride as the start was effected. ALEXANDER PARADE - bumped another runner at approximately the 100 metre point. CRAIGLEA ALDI - shifted in at approximately the 100 metre point. A protest was lodged by Jockey S. Wiseman, ALEXANDER PARADE, placed 2nd by the judge against CRAIGLEA ALDI, ridden by N.Yadi placed 1st by the judge for alleged interference approximately 100 metre from the finish line. After hearing evidence from Jockeys and Trainers of the respective horses and from viewing the film of the race the protest was dismissed and the Judge’s placings confirmed. Race 4: CARLTON MID QTIS Benchmark 50 Handicap – 1250 metres 1st DEVASTATING RHYTHM 2nd EILEEN ANNIE 3rd KATTER 4th CENTREHALF FORWARD KATTER - was fractious in the barrier prior to the start being effected. Raced wide with no cover in the middle stages of the race. Race 5: NIESAR PAINTING Open Handicap – 950 metres1st BOOM SHA LA, 2nd WISHFUL, 3rd STIEG, 4th SHEKOU NEVETUS and ELEMENT OF CHANCE were scratched by Stewards at 12:15pm due to no riders being available. SHEKOU - as slow into stride as the start was effected. STIEG - bumped with another runner on jumping GIVE ME TIME - bumped with another runner on jumping.
