Race 1: LADBROKES YARD COMMENTS MAIDEN HANDICAP – 1250 Metres PELSAERT (NZ) – Made contact with the mounting yard gate on entering the course proper, underwent a veterinary examination on arrival at the barriers and was cleared to start. Shifted ground under pressure in the home straight. NEOEX – Slow to begin. STILLWATER – Slow to begin. CITY OF BOULDER – Over-raced in the early and middle stages. Race 2: RED BERET HOTEL QTIS TWO-YEAR-OLD AND THREE-YEAR-OLD MAIDEN PLATE – 950 Metres SPEC OF SILVER – Trainer D. Crouch was fined the sum of $100 under the provision of LR 67(1) in that he failed to declare a rider for the filly by the required time. FAST AS STEEL – Delayed the start when kicked by another runner behind the barriers. Underwent a veterinary examination and was cleared to start.HOOFIN' BAR – Slow to begin. Raced greenly for the majority of the race. MR GRUMBLER – Slow to begin.PARVULUS – Slow to begin. Raced greenly in the early and middle stages. ISLA GIRL – Shifted out at the start making heavy contact with POWER SHOW. POWER SHOW – Bumped heavily on jumping and was unbalanced. MAGIC INTENT – Began awkwardly. LEAN EAGLE – Raced greenly in the early stages.Race 3: MAGIC MILLIONS/ROB KOCH MEMORIAL/FNQ UP & COMING STAYERS BENCHMARK 70 HANDICAP – 2100 Metres MA MA'S ROSE – Raced wide in the early and middle stages.HOW AWESOME – Over-raced in the early and middle stages. LAST NOT LEAST – Rider dropped her whip near the 300 metres. LETS TORQUE A DEEL – Raced wide for the majority of the race. Race 4: CLIVE GORDON MEMORIAL BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP – 1250 Metres WANDJINA SPIRIT – Reluctant to leave the saddling enclosure. Trainer D. Crouch was advised a warning would be placed on the mare’s parading manners. Raced wide for the majority of the race. ELLEVES – Took a step back as the start was effected and began awkwardly losing ground. WITNESS ATTACK – Slow to begin. RED LANTERN – Shifted out at the start forcing BRAVE INTENT wider.BRAVE INTENT – Forced outwards on jumping. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to be lame in the off-front leg. Connections were advised a veterinary certificate of fitness must be provided prior to the horse racing or trialling again. MISHANI MENACE – Began awkwardly and shifted inwards at the start. Race 5: SMITHFIELD DENTAL BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP – 1250 Metres JAZZ WORTHY – Fractious in the barriers and bounded in the air as the start was effected. Made the 800 metre crossing awkwardly.DENSITY – Shifted out at the start tightening runners to its outside. RUGGED ROY – Tightened for room on jumping.LUCKY ROLLA – Tightened for room on jumping. Made the 800 metre crossing awkwardly.ENUFF ROSES – Tightened for room on jumping. Made the 1000 metre awkwardly and was restrained.KAI COME – Shifted in at the start tightening runners to its inside. MIRROR ILLUSION – Began awkwardly. IMPARDOO – Over-raced in the early stages. Raced wide for the majority of the race. Race 6: ARCHERS THE STRATA PROFESSIONALS BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP – 1250 Metres CARVETI – Delayed the start after anticipating the start and broke through the front of the barriers before being quickly restrained. Underwent a veterinary examination on returning to the barriers and was cleared to start. Began very awkwardly and shifted in hampering BRADSHAW. HOW DO YOU SLEEP – Began awkwardly. BRADSHAW – Hampered soon after the start. AMMAND – Improved onto heels near the 800 metres and was steadied. SUPER TWENTY THREE – Over-raced in the early stages and raced wide for the majority of the race. WONG WAY – Raced wide for the majority of the race. Race 7: MARSH ADVANTAGE INSURANCE BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP – 950 Metres LOBURN LASS – Declared a late scratching at 3.00pm by order of stewards acting on veterinary advice after sustaining a head injury when BOLD FEELING which was in an adjoining barrier became fractious. Connections were advised a veterinary certificate of fitness must be provided prior to the horse racing or trialling again. BOLD FEELING – Declared a late scratching at 3.00pm by order of stewards acting on veterinary advice after becoming momentarily cast in the barrier. Connections were advised a veterinary certificate of fitness must be provided prior the horse racing or trialling again. Trainers T & P Rowe were advised BOLD FEELING must obtain a further barrier certificate before being permitted to race again. All monies invested on LOBURN LASS and BOLD FEELING were ordered to be refunded. Manzelmann was further advised a TAB ban would be placed on the mare, until its parading manners improve. Race 8: STRATA COMPLIANCE SOLUTIONS OPEN HANDICAP – 1400 Metres GULF OF LION – Slow to begin. Over-raced in the middle stages. HIGHER LOVE – Slow to begin.HARROW (IRE) – Slow to begin. Restrained off heels near the 1000 metres.PRIME RULER – Began awkwardly.VIENNA RAIN – Began awkwardly and shifted in bumping TRODAIRE. TRODAIRE – Bumped on jumping. Raced wide without cover for the majority of the race. Laid in under pressure in the home straight. BRILLIANT MIND – Over-raced in the early stages. YES DREAM – Over-raced in the early stages.LOUD NOISE – Over-raced in the middle stages. VIVENZO – Jockey L. Morrison was reminded of her obligation to ride her mount out to the finish post. Stewards were comfortable this had no bearings on its finishing position. Race 9: LADBROKES BLACKBOOK BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP – 1500 MetresLITTLE RED PEPPER – Reared as the start was effected and lost ground. Connections were advised a warning would be placed on the mare’s barrier manners. PLUCKERCARN – Slow to begin. MISS WHITE – Slow into stride. STADIUM OF LIGHT (NZ) – Shifted out near the 300 metres hampering ICE BOUND. Jockey S. Sheargold was advised to show greater care. DELANCY – Over-raced in the early and middle stages. ICE BOUND – Restrained when racing in restricted room near the 300 metres and hampered slightly by STADIUM OF LIGHT which shifted out. Raced wide for the majority of the race. PURPOSE 'N' VISION – Raced wide for the majority of the race. Race 10: ARCHERS THE STRATA PROFESSIONALS CLASS 6 PLATE – 1250 Metres STATS – Trainer S. Massingham was fined the sum of $100 under the provision of LR 67(1) in that he failed to declare a rider for the gelding by the required time. Delayed the start when proved difficult to load. Trainer S. Massingham was advised a warning would be placed on its barrier manners. Began awkwardly and shifted in bumping INVESTOR which in turn shifted in bumping ANDALUS. Commenced to over-race near the 1000 metres throwing its head in the air proving difficult to ride and having to be restrained. Cast its off-hind plate during running.TYCOON BEAU – Put its head into the inside adjoining barrier as the start was effected and lost ground. Improved to the inside of REALEZA approaching the 1000 metres and started to over-race having to be restrained from the heels of ARMOUR FORCE and whilst racing ungenerously shifted out forcing REALEZA out and causing that gelding to become awkward on the heels of CASHIN’CHEX and blunder. REALEZA – Slow to begin. Blundered near the 1000 metres after becoming awkwardly placed on the heels of CASHIN’CHEX having to be checked. After inquiring into this incident stewards took no action against anyone rider, but nonetheless advised jockey M. Abe (TYCOON BEAU) that he may have had a better option other than to improve into that run on the point of the turn. Compounded over the concluding stages and went to the line without being pressured. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Subsequently trainer S. Royes advised stewards the gelding had appeared to pull up well. ARMOUR FORCE – Began awkwardly. Commenced to over-race near the 1000 metres throwing its head in the air proving difficult to ride and having to be restrained. INVESTOR – Bumped on jumping. Raced wide for the majority of the race.ANDALUS (NZ) – Bumped on jumping. Restrained from heels near the 1000 metres. CASHIN' CHEX (NZ) – Raced wide for the majority of the race. CRYSTAL CHIEF – Raced wide without cover for the majority of the race. BRINGYATICKET – Raced ungenerously for a short distance near the 1000 metres.
