RACE 1: CLASS B H’CAP – 1000M
1ST - SIR CLISBY 2ND – BETTER OFFER 3RD – SECOND LOVE 4TH – MOWER

BLINKIN’ HASTY – Bucked for a considerable distance after the start before dislodging Apprentice N. Morton. Apprentice Morton was examined by the on course ambulance officers and cleared to fulfil her remaining engagements. Trainer C. Rodgers was advised BLINKIN’ HASTY would need to trial satisfactorily prior to racing again.

FORGOTTEN TUNE – Bucked for a short distance after the start and lost ground. Trainer T. Higgins was advised FORGOTTEN TUNE would need to trial satisfactorily prior to racing again.

DESERT ELSIE – Raced wide rounding the home turn.

SIR CLISBY – Inclined to lay in under pressure in the home straight.


RACE 2: 3YO & UP MAIDEN PLATE – 1200M
1ST – MYBOYOLIVER 2ND – MONTE VICTORY 3RD – LITTLE BOMBER 4TH – DANCE MOVES

TERRIGAL – Declared a late scratching by order of Stewards at 12.25pm as no rider was available.

MISS RAFFINATE – Bumped with another runner at the start.

THAT’S CORRECT – Bumped with another runner at the start.

DANCE MOVES – Tightened for room at the start.

MONTE VICTORY – Raced wide throughout. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.

GOSSRIVERFEVER – Jockey P. Payne was reprimanded for using his whip more than 5 times prior to the 100m.


RACE 3: OPEN H’CAP – 1200M
1ST – BLUE JEST 2ND – CRAWFISH 3RD – TESTASCANA 4TH – LOUPPY BEND

STORM CRAZY – Began very awkwardly and jumped in the air at the start, causing Apprentice J. Brand to lose her off side iron and placing her at a significant disadvantage in the early stages.

LOUPPY BEND – Inclined to lay in under pressure in the home straight.


RACE 4: BENCHMARK 60 H’CAP – 1200M
1ST – GET THAT INDYA 2ND – BRITISH BULLDOG 3RD – WAYS AND MEANS 4TH – DELAGOS

VESELKA – Slow to begin.

DELAGOS – Slow to begin.

COOLBIE – Laid in under pressure in the home straight.

GET THAT INDYA – When questioned regarding the improved performance, trainer G. Teal advised that in his opinion the gelding resented the kickback at its previous start at Charleville, and as a result raced too far off the pace and was unable to make up ground on that occasion. He felt that today’s performance was due to the reduced kickback and the gelding racing in a more forward position. Stewards noted the explanation.

1ST – ATEACES 2ND – PARANA 3RD – MURPHY’S HUSTER 4TH – KIRKHEATON
