QUEENSLANDRACING INTEGRITY COMMISSION STEWARDS REPORT CUNNAMULLA CUNNAMULLA – MONDAY 25TH APRIL 2022 WEATHER – Overcast TRACK RATING – Dirt RAIL – True OFFICIALS Chairman of Stewards – C SimpsonStewards – C WarrenClerk of Scales – StewardsJudge – J Johnson, D DuffVeterinarian – Dr C Scott, Dr E YoungSwab Attendants – Dr C Scott, D E YoungStarter – J Jones SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT Stewards concluded an inquiry into Jockey P Randall’s whip use in Race 4 at Noorama on 2nd April 2022. Jockey Randall was charged pursuant to AR132(7)(a)(ii) in that he used his whip on 10 occasions prior to the 100m, 5 times more than permitted. Jockey P Randall had his licence to ride in races suspended for a period of 6 days. To commence the 26th April 2022 up to and including 2nd May 2022. RACE 1 BROWN & HURLEY’S KOKODA MAIDEN PLATE 1000m Prior to the declaration of correct weight, it was noted on the steward’s patrol footage that the barriers of ORDERS, EPIC REIGN and FOXY BEEZA were slow to open. Noting that EPIC REIGN and ORDERS placed 2nd and 3rd respectively in the event, there were no grounds upon which stewards could declare either starter a non-runner. FOXY BEEZA, 6th place, was declared a non-runner under AR 204. Deductions were 9 cents win, 13 cents place. The barriers were tested before race two (2). Following the declaration of correct weight maintenance was performed on the barriers and an inspection carried out by Stewards with a delegation of Senior Riders which deemed the starting gates to be operating adequately.ARMANI BLAZE – Jockey P Randall suffered a minor injury to his left foot when impacting the barriers at the start. ORDERS – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination as ORDERS hadn’t raced in over six (6) months, subsequently passed to take its place in the race. Slow to begin. EPIC REIGN – Slow to begin. Race 2: ARNOLD SIMPSON LIVESTOCK HAULAGE'S TOBRUK BENCHMARK 45 Handicap 1000m DEADIDIC – Caught wide for the majority of the race. HANGRY – Caught three (3) wide in the back straight. LENROY – Shifted in under pressure over the concluding stages. PLENTY OF TICKER – Slow to begin. PROTOTYPE – Jumped awkwardly, laid out approaching the 800m. UNUSUAL AUNT – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination as UNUSUAL AUNT hadn’t raced in over six (6) months, subsequently passed to take its place in the race. Race 3: CUNNAMULLA BAKERY'S CHANGI QTIS Class 1 Handicap 1200m REAL HUSSEY – Sat four (4) wide with no cover in the back straight. Hung out entering the home straight, raced wide for the remainder of the race. BALLYCASTLE – Sat three (3) wide with cover in the back straight. Raced green in the home straight. KALIYA – Sat three (3) wide with no cover back straight.CULTURE ICON – Stood flat footed at the start. Race 4: WARREGO HOTEL'S BATTLE OF FROMELLE BENCHMARK 65 Handicap 1000m TYCOON ZIP – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination as TYCOON ZIP hadn’t raced in over six (6) months, subsequently passed to take its place in the race. TOURMASTER – On returning to scales Jockey A Bakos reported her saddle slipped shortly after the start placing her at a disadvantage. TROMMELSCHLAGEN – Jumped awkwardly. Jockey T Townsend reported TROMMELSCHLAGEN resented the kick back and never travelled throughout the race. PHIONAIX – Sat three (3) wide with no cover back straight. LUCKY ENUFF – Sat wide majority of the race. CHANCE OF RAIN – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination as CHANCE OF RAIN hadn’t raced in over six (6) months, subsequently passed to take its place in the race. Jumped Awkwardly. Race 5: 'NOEL HICKEY'S MEMORIAL' ANZAC DAY OPEN Plate 1400m ANOTHER PLAN – Sat three (3) wide no cover in the back straight. RINVIATA – Sat four (4) wide with no cover in the back straight. AURIC GOLD – Awkward to begin. SHAKE ON IT – Jockey A Bakos reported that SHAKE ON IT didn’t handle the kickback and never travelled at any stages of the race. .STEWARDS RACE DAY SUMMARY Summary of action concerning licensees SuspensionsNoorama 2nd April 2022 Race 4 – P Randall AR132(7)(a)(ii) in that he used his whip on 10 occasions prior to the 100m to commence the 26th April 2022 up to and including 2nd May 2022.
