Newport was reprimanded for using the whip on 6 occasions prior to the 100m.PYTHAGOREAN – Bumped at the start.RACE 2: DALBY DIEHARDS RLFC MAIDEN H'CAP – 1200MNEWCASTLE DANCER – Bumped at the start. The veterinary surgeon reported that the horse had sustained a superficial laceration to the near hind leg, which was consistent with being galloped on.BEAUTIFUL LOVE – On returning to scale apprentice L. Tilley reported that his mount failed to handle the prevailing track conditions, which he believed was the major contributing factor to the horse's poor performance.HYPNOTIZING – After being caught wide, raced ungenerously near the 800m whilst being restrained in an endeavour to obtain a position closer to the rail.MAJOR BO – Raced wide throughout without cover. On returning to scale B. Derbyshire reported that her mount threw its head in the air as the start was effected.CULOTTES – Buffeted shortly after the start.SUNDAYS DESTINY- Buffeted shortly after the start. Tightened for room and checked near the 1100m when HE'LL BE RIGHT shifted in despite rider A. Allen's efforts. Forced to steady to avoid the heels of another runner rounding the home turn.ROOSTER HUNTER- Tightened for room shortly after the start and lost ground. Raced in restricted room for a short distance near the 750m.ROSE RAKU – Buffeted shortly after the start.HE'LL BE RIGHT – Began awkwardly, jumped in and made contact with NEWCASTLE DANCER. A. Allen could offer no explanation for his mount's poor performance other that that the horse had a tendency to hang in throughout the event.RACE 3: DALBY LEAGUES CLUB BISTRO QTIS 3YO BENCHMARK 65 H'CAP – 1400MREAL EGO – Raced three wide without cover throughout. Steadied when bumped by another runner near the 100m.BRUMBY JACK – Brushed the running rail and became unbalanced when rounding the home turn.ROSIE POSIE – Improved on to heels near the 1100m and was forced to be steadied for some distance.TRUMP IT – Shifted ground rounding the home turn, bumped with another runner and became unbalanced.PICAVINO – Momentarily forced to steady to avoid the heels of another runner near the 1100m. Shifted ground rounding the home turn, bumped with another runner and became unbalanced.RACE 4: KEN & TRISH ALEXANDER MEMORIAL CLASS 1 H'CAP – 800MCOCONUT BAY – Forced to check near the 500m to avoid the heels of SAHARA RULER (M. O'Brien), which shifted in when not clear. M. O'Brien was subsequently found guilty of a charge of careless riding as a result of causing the interference and her licence to ride in races was suspended for a period of 8 days, to commence immediately and expire at midnight on Wednesday 27 July 2016. In determining penalty, stewards took into account jockey O'Brien's good record.SNAKE ATTACK – Knuckled at the start.CLOSE ENOUGH – Began awkwardly.LONNIE'S PRIDE – Slow into stride.DIVA MISS – Stewards accepted the explanation tendered by trainer W. Baker for the horse's late scratching at 9.15 am.RACE 5: DALBY LEAGUES CLUB KIDS CLUB CLASS 3 PLATE – 1110MCHILLDOWN – Forced to steady passing the 1000m to avoid the heels of NO MORE MISTAKES, which shifted in. NO MORE MISTAKES – G. Geran pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding in that passing the 1000m he permitted his mount to shift in when insufficiently clear of CHILLDOWN, causing that runner to steady to avoid the heels of NO MORE MISTAKES, and then continued to allow his mount to shift in, causing interference to MUSIC SCENE and SUPERDUTY. G. Geran's licence to ride in races was suspended for a period of 8 days, to commence immediately and expire at midnight on Wednesday 27 July 2016. In determining penalty, stewards took into account jockey Geran's good record and his plea of guilt.SUPERDUTY – Bumped passing the 1000m and lost its rightful running.UNDER THE WEATHER – Raced wide throughout. MUSIC SCENE – Raced wide without cover throughout. Dictated inwards by NO MORE MISTAKES (G. Geran) passing the 1000m and made contact with SUPERDUTY, resulting in both MUSIC SCENE and SUPERDUTY losing their rightful running. Shifted out near the 900m, clipped heels and blundered.DALIWOY BAY – Slow to begin.SPECTACULAR ROCK – Slow to begin. VESELKA – Raced wide throughout.RACE 6: DALBY LEAGUES CLUB POKIE PROMOTIONS BENCHMARK 60 H'CAP – 1400MLA LA ROCK – Began awkwardly.DINA'S DRAGON – Tightened for room near the 400m when DRAGON MASTER shifted in whilst tiring, despite the efforts of its rider.DRAGON MASTER – Compounded from the 600m. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Stewards will follow up with trainer M. Hemmings in the days subsequent to the event regarding the horse's post-race recovery.KAYENTA – Began awkwardly. Disappointed for a run and checked leaving the 400m when DRAGON MASTER shifted in whilst tiring despite the efforts of its rider.ROBARD – As apprentice L. Attard was ill, apprentice L. Tilley was substituted as rider. RACE 7: DALBY LEAGUES CLUB PRESIDENT’S SHOUT RATINGS BAND 0-60 H'CAP – 2000MSKYTASTIC – Slow to begin. Tightened for room and eased near the 600m when AHA I SEE shifted in after being bumped by WHYNOTROC (G. Geran), which shifted in when not completely clear. G. Geran was reprimanded.NATURE BITES – Raced wide throughout.WHYNOTROC – Raced keenly in the early and middle stages. Raced wide throughout.RICH PRIDE – Jumped in the air and then shifted in on jumping away.COOL AS HEL – Tightened for room at the start. Raced wide throughout. Tightened for room and checked near the 300m when SOMERSET LASS (A. Allen) shifted out. A. Allen pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding in that he permitted his mount to shift out at that point when insufficiently clear, causing the interference to COOL AS HEL. A. Allen's licence to ride in races was suspended for a period of 8 days, to commence at midnight on Saturday 23 July and expire at midnight on Sunday 31 July 2016.
