RACE 1: ICON STEEL BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP – 1400m
 
SUPERVISOR – Bucked for a short distance after the start and took no competitive part in the event. Upon returning to scale apprentice A. Thompson reported that his saddle slipped upon jumping and in his opinion that was the cause of the horses disappointing performance. Stewards noted apprentice Thompson’s explanation.
 
STICK WITH ME – Upon returning to scale, Apprentice H. Phillips reported that her mount was inclined to hang out throughout.
 
RAHDANE – Raced wide throughout the middle stages.
 
LITTLE RED DEVIL – Raced wide throughout.
 
HIGHTOWER – Raced wide without cover throughout the early and middle stages.
 
 
RACE 2: WILD RIVER CONCRETE MAIDEN PLATE – 1300m
 
BIANCATAK – Laid out under pressure over the concluding stages.
 
SHY GRIN – Upon returning to scale apprentice S. Lacy reported that her mount was inclined to hang out throughout.
 
THEOUTLAWSDAUGHTER – Began awkwardly making contact with another runner to the outside.
 
MEATBALL – Bumped by another runner upon jumping. Raced greenly throughout the early and middle stages. Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
BOOTIFULBLUE – Laid in under pressure over the concluding stages.
 
BRAZEN CHOICE – Had to be eased off heels at the 50m when racing in restricted room.
 
 
 
RACE 3: FERMOR PLUMBING BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP -1200m
 
VANCOUVER STAR – Raced in restricted room for a short distance at the 300m.
 
BABY MERLIN – Upon returning to scale, apprentice S. Tomlinson reported that his mount was inclined to lay in throughout. Raced three wide without cover throughout. Apprentice Tomlinson dropped his whip at the 150m.
 
 
RACE 4: DALBY LEAGUES CLUB CANNONBALL FLYING OPEN HANDICAP – 1000m
 
BAGGER CHANCE – Slow into stride and lost ground. Hung out rounding the home turn and brushed another runner to the outside.
 
ROUGH EDDIE – Raced three wide without cover throughout.
 
 
RACE 5: MCDONALDS DALBY CLASS B HANDICAP – 1000m
 
STORM ANCHOR – Shifted out abruptly shortly after the start making heavy contact with runners to the outside. Made contact with the outside running rail at the 500m dislodging its rider. Following the event jockey M. Milford advised that shortly after start his saddle slipped, causing him to become unbalanced and lose control of his mount. A post race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. Trainer R. Drysdale was advised that the gelding would be required to trail prior to its next start.  
 
AVASA - tightened for room shortly after the start by runners to the inside and lost significant ground.
 
ANGEL OF WAR – tightened for room shortly after the start by a runner to the inside and lost significant ground.
 
JACKS OF SPADES – tightened for room shortly after the start by runners to the inside and lost significant ground.
 
MOUNTIAN RETREAT - tightened for room shortly after the start by runners to the inside and lost significant ground.
