Trainer C Garland reported that LADY STIRLING had an abscess in the near side nostril following its performance on this day.

Race 1: Central Highlands Regional Council Open Handicap- 900 metres

When Jockey S McGovern (STEINBERG) was to be overweight, he was replaced by App Q Krogh.

RAHULA- Fractious as the start was effected, bounded in the air and unbalanced the rider who was dislodged. App N. Vuille was transported from the course for observation. A medical certificate of fitness will be required prior to her next riding engagements.
Trainer’s representative was advised the gelding would be required to pass a barrier trial in front of Stewards prior to its next start.

STEINBERG- In the final 100 metres, raced in restricted room between runners and was unable to be fully ridden out. Prior to correct weight, App Krogh and Trainer K McGovern viewed the patrol film with the view to lodge an objection, however did not proceed.

Prior to correct weight, Stewards did view the patrol film to observe the start and circumstance involved with the rider being dislodged from RAHULA.

Race 2: T & J Whitehouse BM 45 Handicap - 900 metres

ORCHID AVENUE- Jockey S McCullum replaced App N Vuille.

CUBAN SONG and WHISKEY LAD- Slow to begin.

MISS HOFFA- Fractious as the start was effected, reared, began extremely awkwardly and lost ground. Trainer advised the mare would be required to obtain a further barrier certificate prior to its next race start.

Race 3: Wesfarmers Curragh QTIS Maiden Plate- 900 metres

ROWDY RONDA- Jockey S McCullum replaced App N. Vuille.

CAN’T ESCAPE ME- When Jockey S McGovern was to be overweight, replaced by Jockey K Aho.

PERFUME PASSION- At the start, contacted by insider runner, tightened onto hindquarters of outside runner and lost ground at the start.

LINE AND LENGTH- Began awkwardly and lost ground.

Race 4: Jellinbah Mine Class B Handicap- 1200 metres

LUCIFER’S ANGEL- Jockey M Barnham replaced App N Vuille. Raced wide with cover throughout.

CONTINUITY- Raced wide without cover throughout.

FRANKY COLD MEDINA- Slow to begin.

MISS JAMAICA- Raced wide throughout.

Race 5: S. T Olive & Sons Dingo Cup BM 65 Handicap- 1200 metres

MOUNTAIN PROMISE- Due to extenuating circumstances, Jockey S McGovern was permitted to ride 1.5kg overweight. Jockey McGovern was fined a total of $400 under AR 120(b) for Race 1, 3 and 5.

JUST ONE WISH- Slow to begin and appeared to resent kickback in the middle stages.

STITCHEN TIME- Late declaration of Jockey S McCullum was accepted.

EMMAROSE- Slow into stride and raced at the rear of the field in the early and middle stages.

MUSCOVY- Jockey K Aho replaced App N Vuille. Raced wide throughout.
