Race 1: PCC MINE SERVICES QTIS MAIDEN PLATE 900m
 
BEAT DA LIGHT – Shortly after jumping away, shifted in onto NICCAIDY.
 
BLADE MAN – Shifted out shortly after jumping, carrying out PAPILIO. Raced wide throughout. Laid in when placed under pressure in the straight. Following the running of this event, BLADE MAN was fractious in the tie up stalls, resulting in multiple lacerations to the head. Trainer T. Austin was advised that a veterinary clearance would be required prior to any future race or trial start.
 
FAIRYBOWER FLYER – Raced wide throughout.    
 
NICCAIDY – Shortly after jumping away, had to be restrained to avoid the heels of PAPILIO who was carried out by BLADE MAN and BEAT DA LIGHT which both shifted marginally.  
 
PAPILIO – Shortly after jumping, was carried out onto NICCAIDY by BLADE MAN.    
 
RUSKI – Slow to begin.
 
BUNGARRIBEE LAD – Jockey T. Chambers was granted permission to ride 0.5kg overweight due to no other available rider. Slow to begin.  
 
SUPER ROOSTER – Slow to begin.
 
LOVE YOU LINDA – Jockey J. Missen was granted permission to ride 1.5kg overweight due to no other available rider. Slow to begin. Laid in when placed under pressure in the straight.
 

Race 2: REGIONAL WASTE CQ CLASS B HANDICAP 900M
 
WOODLEY’S GOLD – Jumped away awkwardly. Raced wide throughout.
 
UNSURE – Raced wide throughout.
 
HER OPTION – Raced wide throughout.
 
BEGIN – Jumped away awkwardly.      
 
MRS SENNA – Slow to begin. Placed awkwardly on the heels on PLENTY OF TICKER shortly after jumping.
 
BONNY’S TREASURE – Raced wide throughout. Laid in when placed under pressure in the straight. 
 
MORE THAN CHARGED – Stewards granted permission for the late removal of MORE THAN CHARGED’s earmuffs and pacifiers. Trainer T. Williams was fined $100.00 under AR206(2) for the late removal of gear. Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after having not competed in the past 12 months and was cleared fit to start.
 
 
Race 3: WHITEHOUSE GROUP BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP 900M
 
HAYYLER’S TARY – Raced wide throughout.
 
KALMAR – Reared on jumping, and as a result was slow to begin. Trainer P. O’Toole was advised that a warning would be placed on the gelding. Laid in when placed under pressure in the straight.
 
MISHANI REBEL – Apprentice Jockey A Ross was reprimanded under the provisions of AR132(5) in that she used her whip 15 times in totality throughout the event. Stewards took into account this was Apprentice A. Ross’s 1st offence under AR132(5).
 
GODFATHER’S GIRL – Raced wide throughout. Upon returning to scale, Jockey T. Chambers stated that the mare failed to handle the track conditions. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to have sustained abrasions to the off-hind leg.
 
Race 4: ST OLIVE & SONS DINGO CUP CLASS 3 HANDICAP 1200M
 
KARENO – Overraced in the early stages. Raced wide in the early and middle stages.
 
MASSIE WHISPER – Slow to begin.  Raced wide throughout.
 
Race 5: BLACKWATER QUARRIES BENCHMARK 45 HANDICAP 1200M
 
COZHECANCAN – Raced wide throughout. Laid in when placed under pressure in the straight.
 
HUSSON’S SHOUT – Raced wide throughout.
 
ROSAIRE – Laid in when placed under pressure in the straight.
