SUPPLEMENTARY REPORTS:

From Sunshine Coast 12.6.16 – Race 7 : B. Stewart, the rider of Mishani Viking, was fined $300 for using the whip more than 5 times prior to the 100m.

Race 1: GIDDY UP CLUB MEMBERSHIP OPEN H’CAP – 1050M

Trainer M. Wilson pleaded guilty to a charge under AR. 68A(2) in that he accepted with BABUR for the sole purpose of affecting the number of acceptances for the race when he had MANA MANU also engaged in the race. Mr Wilson was fined $500. In determining penalty, stewards took into account Mr Wilson’s forthright admissions and mitigating circumstances.

MANA MANU – Raced three wide without cover throughout.

CORRYVRECKAN – Held up for clear running rounding the home turn and in the home straight until approaching the 200m.

NAKANAI – When questioned regarding the horse’s seemingly improved performance, trainer M. Eggleston advised that he was not disappointed with the gelding’s last start performance at Ipswich when beaten 3.9 lengths. He added that the horse had benefited racing on today’s soft track and has appreciated being freshened since its last start.

Race 2: MOET & CHANDON CHAIRMAN’S CLUB F&M MAIDEN H’CAP – 1110M

ATLANTA’S GOLD – Slow to begin.

GEORGETTE – Apprentice C. Dell reported that his mount was not entirely comfortable on today’s prevailing track conditions.

CHELSEA STAR – Raced wide throughout.

EMS IMPERIAL – Hampered soon after the start.

VENETIAN BEAUTY – Hampered soon after the start. Apprentice S. Eilbeck reported that her mount raced greenly throughout.

YOU CAN’T FIND ME – Raced three wide without cover throughout.

Race 3: HAMILTON HOTEL C,G&E MAIDEN H’CAP – 1110M

BIDZIIL – Slow to begin. Inclined to hang in under pressure in the home straight.

CHEVAL LE VENT – When DOUBT DEFYING lost ground near the 800m, was obliged to shift out and raced wide from that point onwards. Obliged to alter course to the inside of DE LAGO JET near the 150m in order to improve.

UH OH – Jumped away awkwardly and bumped ACE STRYKER.

MORE PATASI – Overraced in the early stages and passing the 800m shifted out.

DOUBT DEFYING – Had to be steadied from the heels of MORE PATASI near the 800m. Obliged to alter course approaching the 250m in order to improve. Raced greenly when placed under pressure over the final 200m.

SACROMONTE – Began awkwardly. Overraced in the early and middle stages.

SIRTIME – Raced three wide without cover throughout.

ACE STRYKER – Bumped on jumping.

DE LAGO JET – Raced wide throughout.

STORMY LEO – Raced wide throughout.

Race 4: BRISBANE RACING CLUB WEDDINGS QTIS 3YO CLASS 3 PLATE – 1350M

NO MORE MISTAKES – Jumped awkwardly.

OUR RACKETEER – D. Browne could offer no explanation for the horse weakening badly in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. Trainer S. Kendrick was advised that the horse must compete satisfactorily in an official barrier trial prior to racing again. Mr Kendrick undertook to report to stewards the results of veterinary tests he intends to have carried out on the horse.

LOFN – Slow to begin.

SENTIMENTAL PRINCE – Bumped at the start. Raced three wide without cover throughout.

Race 5: GALLOPERS SPORTS CLUB CLASS 3 H’CAP – 1660M

WINNING ACCORD – Hung in badly under pressure in the home straight and as a result rider J. Orman was unable to test his mount in his normal manner.

IN THE KITTY – Trainer B. Smith advised that the horse would be ridden in a more forward position today if circumstances permit. The horse settled in a worse than midfield position. Inconvenienced when placed awkwardly at the heels of HESITATION as a result of being taken out slightly by MORE ENERGY after passing the 200m.

GAME OF FAME – Raced three wide without cover throughout.

ANNIHILATION – Overraced in the early stages.

Race 6: SMIRNOFF MEKKA RACEDAY CLASS 3 H’CAP – 1110M

TARZAN – Steadied near the 800m when placed in restricted room to the inside of MOSS HARRY, which was taken in by AMBITIOUS BLONDE. Apprentice B. Stower, the rider of AMBITIOUS BLONDE, was reprimanded. Had to be steadied from the heels of MOSS HARRY leaving the 600m. D. Browne reported at scale that his mount raced greenly throughout and over the concluding stages shifted out abruptly under pressure and became awkward at the heels of MOSS HARRY.

FELL FROM HEAVEN – Had to be steadied shortly after the start when tightened for room by TARZAN, which was initially taken in by HIDDEN LOVE. L. Rolls (HIDDEN LOVE) and D. Browne (TARZAN) were advised to afford their fellow riders greater clearance when shifting ground in the future.

LILLOOET – Slow to begin.

STELLARCRAFT – Raced three wide without cover.

Race 7: WWW.BRC.COM.AU CLASS 5 H’CAP – 1200M

ST ANDREWS – Raced three wide without cover.

SHOWER OF HEARTS – Inclined to lay in under pressure over the final 250m.

BAKER BOY – Jumped awkwardly.

PANDORA CHARM – Connections advised that the horse would be ridden in a forward position today should circumstances permit. The horse was ridden accordingly.

PICTURE IT – Hampered when tightened for room at the start.

Race 8: CANADIAN CLUB MELBOURNE CUP DAY CLASS 4 H’CAP – 1350M

MURDER OF CROWS – Raced three wide throughout.

ARCTIC – Overraced in the early stages.

MYDALEA – M. Cahill reported that it was not his intention to lead, but when the pace was slow he was able to lead and approaching the 900m he would have surrendered that position to LONHRO’S SPIRIT, but that runner was unable to clear his mount, which resulted in him leading throughout.

COLD BLOODED – Bucked for some distance soon after the start and then was retired from the race. Trainer S. Kendrick was advised that the horse must compete in an official barrier trial prior to racing again.
