SLAUGHTER BAY – Checked at 1800m and 400m. Apprentice B. Appo, rider of SPECIAL KARMA, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding in that he allowed his mount to shift in passing the post on the first occasion when insufficiently clear of NAUTILUS, which was taken in onto the rightful running of SLAUGHTER BAY, which in turn had to be checked and lose its position. Apprentice Appo was suspended from riding in races for a period of 12 days, to commence at midnight, 26 June and to expire at midnight, 8 July. Apprentice C. Dell, rider of BARBERANCE, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding in that he allowed his mount to shift in near the 400m when insufficiently clear of SLAUGHTER BAY, which had to be checked and lost its rightful position. Apprentice Dell was suspended from riding in races for a period of 9 days to commence at midnight, 29 June and to expire at midnight, 8 July. Race 2: Brandons Electrical QTIS 2yo Maiden Plate (1) – 1050m KIT DE LUCA - Slow to begin. Steadied near the 600m. Shifted out to obtain clear running near the 200m hampering another runner. Disappointed for clear running over the final 100m and then went to the line without being fully tested. GENERAL SIDEREUS – Bumped its left gate after standing awkwardly in the barriers. SINISTER PRINCESS – Began awkwardly. RED BLANKET – Hampered slightly just prior to straightening. Raced 3 wide without cover. NUNCIUS – Held up shortly after straightening. MAGNITUDE LAD– Hampered by another runner approaching the 200m. ZUMIKON – Raced 4 wide without cover. Race 3: Shannons Air Conditioning QTIS 2yo Maiden Plate (2) – 1050m GENERAL COS – En route to the barrier apprentice J. Oliver was dislodged. The horse cantered for a short distance and then returned to the start, was examined by the veterinary surgeon and deemed suitable to race. RIVER RACER – Raced 4 wide without cover and bumped near the 700m. Hung out from the 700m and then hung in in the straight. Lost its off hind plate in running. DARING DEEDS – Jockey T. Harrison reported her mount raced greenly throughout, particularly rounding the home turn. LOVE A ROSE – Hung out on the home turn. Race 4: Garden City Refrigeration Maiden Plate – 1600m ARRABIATO – After being boxed the gelding became extremely fractious and kicked out, resulting in its near hind leg being caught between the back gates and sustaining lacerations. Race 5: Aussie Air Conditioning Maiden Plate – 1200m ENCOSTOLOGY – The explanation tendered for the late declaration of C. Small as the rider was accepted. Raced 4 wide without cover. CONCA DEL SONGNO – Slow into stride. Laid in in the straight. CAPE DENISON – Slow into stride. DE LAGO JET – Raced 3 wide without cover. BO BO HORSE – Raced 4 wide. Race 6: Shelair Air Conditioning Class 4 H'cap – 1050m MORNING FOG – Began awkwardly. Raced 3 wide without cover. WIGGLESWORTH – Began awkwardly.KATELETTE – Slow to begin and threw its head in the air. O’L BROWN EYES – Crowded slightly shortly after the start. MORNING FOG – Crowded slightly shortly after the start. MY BLING – Steadied near the 900m. A post race veterinary examination revealed the horse to have thickening and pain in the near fore suspensory ligament. Trainer Mr M. Bailey was advised that a veterinary clearance must be provided prior to its next race start.FLO JO SNIP – Checked near the 250m. Apprentice B. Ainsworth, rider of KATELETTE, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding, in that near the 250m she shifted out from behind MORNING FOG, taking OL’ BROWN EYES out across the running of FLO JO SNIP, which was checked. Apprentice B. Ainsworth was suspended from riding in races for a period covered by 9 days, to commence at midnight, 29 June and to expire at midnight, 8 July. FLO JO SNIP – Raced 4 wide without cover. Race 7: A Grade Air Conditioning Benchmark 75 H'cap – 1200m APPLE THIEF – Slow into stride. VICTORVETO – Slow into stride. IGNEOUS – Overraced in the early and middle stages. IRISH CONSTABULARY – Travelled 3 wide without cover. ISLA POPPY – Raced 4 wide. Race 8: Access Air Conditioning Class 3 H'cap – 1350m PLAN RED – Became fractious in the barriers and was slow to begin. PEPPERMINT GREY – Began awkwardly and threw its head in the air. CARDLESS CASH – Jockey B. Stewart was reprimanded for improving into a position to the outside of the heels of MR METICULOUS where there was doubtful room leaving the 400m, clipped heels and shifted out. Stewards were of the view there was contribution by MR METICULOUS shifting out after being taken out slightly by MOTION GRANTED. Jockey B. Stewart was fined $500 for using his whip more than more than 5 times prior to the 100m. KINGTANTES – Bumped on the home turn and carried wider.
