Race 1: CASCADE QTIS 3YO H’CAP – 1110M

The start was delayed when DENBERN required farrier attention.

MYMANCHARLES – Jumped awkwardly. Brushed the running rail approaching the 800m when tightened for room. Had difficulty obtaining clear running until after leaving the 200m.

THE AMBASSADORE – Raced three wide without cover.

DIVINE DICE – Overraced in the early stages. Held up rounding the home turn. Had to be steadied away from heels near the 100m.

DAPPER ONE – Raced four wide without cover.

I REMEMBER YOU – Jumped awkwardly.

Race 2: MT FRANKLIN 1MW H’CAP – 1600M

THE ILIAD – After racing wide without cover after passing the 1400m, was allowed to stride forward and settle outside the leader near the 1000m. Brushed by another runner shortly after entering the home straight.

DECONSTRUCTED – Shifted out shortly after entering the home straight and made contact with another runner. Lost the off hind plate in running.

WAR BABY – Trainer K. Hickmott was fined $200 for the late declaration of apprentice A. Denby as rider. Taken wider on the home turn.

FILTERO – Hung out on the home turn, taking another runner wider.

Following the running of this event the track was upgraded to GOOD 3.

Race 3: JIM BEAM OPEN H’CAP – 1350M

PERPLEXITY – Had to steady away from heels approaching the 100m.

ANGEL DANCER – Late scratching at 8.20 am for veterinary reasons.

TOTAL AUTHORITY – Overraced in the early stages.

Race 4: CANADIAN CLUB BENCHMARK 75 H’CAP – 1050M

TISANI TOMSO – Shifted in near the 900m and made heavy contact with another runner.

SAY I WON’T – Had to be steadied away from heels after leaving the 800m. Held up rounding the home turn and did not obtain clear running until after leaving the 200m.

THOMAS THE TANK – Contacted near the 900m and became unbalanced.

STANATHOL – Raced wide without cover.

MORNING FOG – Bumped shortly after the start and was then tightened for room and had to be checked. Had to steady away from heels rounding the home turn.

SOLDI DOMANI – Had to be checked and brushed the running rail near the 400m when FREQUENDLY steadied off the heels of SAY I WON’T.

TACTICIAN – Jumped awkwardly and made contact with another runner.

HANWRITTEN – Raced wide without cover. Following the event J. Byrne reported that his mount jumped awkwardly and the whip and reins became entangled in the neck strap, which resulted in him having some difficulty riding his mount in the early and middle stages.

Race 5: COKE OPEN H’CAP – 2000M

BRAVE ALI – Brushed near the 600m.

LA SPIAGGIA – Shifted out to improve near the 600m and brushed another runner.

Race 6: COKE ZERO CLASS 3 PLATE – 1350M

HEROISM – Inclined to hang in in the early stages of the straight.

MAN OF HIS WORD – Slow to begin.

NARANJA – Had to be steadied away from heels near the 300m.

RAKITNO – Raced wide without cover.

O’REILLY CYRUS – Slow to begin. Steadied off heels after leaving the 900m.

BANCROFT – Raced wide without cover throughout.

DIDDY WIN DIDDY – Had to be steadied approaching the 100m when tightened for room.

Race 7: SPRITE F&M CLASS 6 PLATE – 1200M

BURLEIGH BULLET – Late scratching at 7.40 am for veterinary reasons.

BONNE CHEVAL – Jumped awkwardly. Had to check away from heels near the 900m when shifting in. Raced wide without cover.

POOKIES GRIN – Steadied shortly after the start after being slow to begin. Held up in the early stages of the straight. Held up for clear running inside the 100m. The veterinary surgeon reported that the horse had sustained a laceration to the off fore cannon, consistent with being galloped on.

PEPPERANO – Jumped away awkwardly, shifted out and made heavy contact with another runner. Shifted out away from heels approaching the 800m.

SIMPLY MING – Had to be steadied away from heels near the 800m.

WESTERN BELLE – Bumped heavily shortly after the start. Held up rounding the home turn and did not obtain clear running until after leaving the 300m.

Race 8: LIFT C,G&E CLASS 6 PLATE – 1200M

LONDEHERO – Raced wide throughout.

HARDLINE – Shifted in near the 500m, brushed the running rail and became unbalanced.

CHIN CHUN – Trainer D. Duryea was fined $200 for the late declaration of M. Hellyer as rider.

SKYLIMIT – When questioned, T. Harrison stated that as she was drawn wide, she elected to ease the horse back in the field, however when she obtained cover, SKYLIMIT dropped the bit and lost ground quickly. She added that at the 600m SKYLIMIT was under hard riding and responded fairly in the straight, however in her opinion the horse may be better suited at a bigger track.

SUNNY VICTORY – Raced wide throughout.

YABA DABL DOYA – Had to be steadied near the 100m.
