TYRANNY – Bumped heavily at the start. Stewards opened an inquiry into interference sustained by TYRANNY and ALL PLUCK approaching the 900m where both horses had to be checked. After hearing evidence from all parties, stewards were of the view that after being initially tightened for room by PAR ANERI, MANIAS then shifted in away from that runner which resulted in both TRYANNY and ALL PLUCK having to be checked.  Stewards could not attribute this incident to the carelessness of any one rider and took no direct action.   Had to be restrained from the  heels of HARLEQUIN BELLS and then hung in approaching the 100m.

ALL PLUCK –  Bumped heavily at the start. Checked at the 900m. Had to be checked near the 600m when tightened for room.

Kimmet was questioned regarding the improved performance of the mare today as compared to its most recent starts.  Mr Kimmet explained that at its  last start the mare was in season and raced wide in the early and middle  stages before weakening badly over the final 400m, which he attributed to ROUND MOUNTAIN GEM being in season.  He added that 2 starts back the mare met with interference near the 600m and he was not completely disappointed with its effort to be beaten 4.3 lengths.  He added that he has always  had an opinion of the mare and he was not completely surprised  with its forward showing today.
