GENERAL
Due to difficulty with the TAB electronic systems outage, all races from Race 2 were put back one race. Amended times as per raceday summary.
 
 
Race 1: MIRVAC TULLOCH HOUSE QTIS 2YO Fillies Handicap 1110 metres
 
ALERT AND READY – Began awkwardly shifted in and bumped with CANUCK.
 
CANUCK – Bumped on jumping. Over raced in the early and middle stages. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
INVINSIBLE TEARS – Bumped by WALTZ near the 1000m and commenced to over race.
 
VIENNA EMPRESS – Began awkwardly. Raced three wide with cover throughout.
 
WALTZ – Commenced to over race near the 1000m and shifted out making contact with INVINSIBLE TEARS and continued to race greenly for a short distance.
 
YOU'LL BE MIST – Began awkwardly. Raced three wide without cover  throughout. Hung out rounding the home turn and again when placed under pressure in the home straight.
 
 
Race 2: NAT MCCALL RACING QTIS 3YO Handicap 1050 metres
 
 
ISOTOPE – Became fractious in the barriers and was slow to begin.  Trainer T Gollan was advised that a warning would be placed against the filly’s barrier manners.
 
BE WATER MY FRIEND – Was kicked by another runner behind the barriers and was examined by the veterinary surgeon and cleared to start. Began awkwardly and shifted out bumping JOLLO. Leaving the 800m proved difficult and shifted our abruptly.
 
GOLDSBOROUGH – Laid out under pressure over the concluding stages.
 
JOYFUL MISS – Near the 800m was inconvenienced by JOLLO which shifted out when over racing. Checked neat the 450m. B Nothdurft (ISOTOPE) plead guilty to a charge to careless riding under the provisions of AR131(a) in that approaching the 450m shifted out when insufficiently clear of JOYFUL MISS resulting in that running having to be checked to avoid heels. Jockey B Nothdurft licence to ride in races was suspended for a period of eleven (11) days to commence midnight 8 November 2020 and expire midnight 19 November 2020.
 
JOLLO – Bumped on jumping. Commenced to race fiercely from the 800m and shifted out to void the heels of LOVE MY SUPER and continued to over race for some distance. Passing the 600m whilst over racing shifted out and continued to hang out rounding the home turn.
 
 
Race 3: ASTROJUMP INFLATABLES BM72 Handicap 2200 metres

TAKEITTOTHELIMIT – Raced three wide in the early stages.

I COULD DO BETTER – Over raced in the early stages.
 
SAME OLD – Slow to begin. Near the 500m had to be steadied from heels of HOLBROOK which was giving ground

WINDERMERE – J Bayliss (WINDERMERE) was fined $400 for using the whip 7 times prior to the 100m, which is 2 more than permitted. AR132(7)(a)(ii) – Lost near for plate in running.
 
HOLBROOK – When questioned rider M Hellyer stated that he was given instructions to attempt to lead today’s event and was forced to ride hard three wide around the field and take up a position outside the leader near the 1300m. M Hellyer added that he attempted settle the gelding in the middle stages. He further added that passing the 700m he attempted to improve and soon afterwards  dropped his whip, HOLBROOK weakened from the 600m and was eased down in the home straight.
 
Race 4: REDKITE Fillies & Mares BM80 Handicap 1200 metres
 
GOODONYA SONJA – Began awkwardly and made contact with the outside barrier partition. Raced three wide throughout. Leaving the 900m was steadied from the heels of THINE IS THE POWER and shortly after was carried wider on the track by REALLY DISCREET.
 
THINE IS THE POWER – Raced three wide without cover throughout.
 
JEWELIANA – Over raced in the early stages. Had to be restrained passing the 900m from the heels of CHURNING which shifted in when not quite clear and soon afterwards had to  be restrained from the heels of ADORADANCER which shifted in. Rider J Bayliss(CHURNING) and App G Cartwright (ADORADANCER) were both cautioned and urged to provided their fellow riders greater clearance in similar circumstances.  Lost a near hind plate in running. A post-race veterinary examination of JEWELIANA identified a laceration to the off hind leg and small laceration near hind leg.
 
CLOCKWISE – Leaving the 800m for some distance had to be checked from the heels of MOONSHINE LADY.
 
VERANES – As the mare has not had a start in a race for 12 months underwent a pre race veterinary examination and was passed fit to start. Near the 850m eased from the heels of CLOCKWISE
 
REALLY DISCREET – Hampered shortly after the start when THINE IS THE POWER shifted in. Near the 850m had to be eased from the heels of JEWELIANA.
 
 
Race 5: MORF Class 3 Plate 1600 metres
 
WILD MOON – Began very awkward and dislodged rider shortly after the start and did not take any competitive part in the race.  Trainer  L Hatch was notified that WILD MOON will be required to trial to the satisfaction of the Stewards prior to the horse racing or trialing again.
 
BOOMI'S BUDDY – Raced three wide early before being permitted to stride forward to take up a position outside the lead passing the 800m.
 
DON'T STOP – Near the 800m had to be severely checked and lost ground when tightened for room to the inside of STUBAI. App S Tomlinson (BOOMI'S BUDDY) plead guilty to a charge to careless riding under the provisions of AR131(a) in that approaching the 800m shifted in when insufficiently clear of STUBAI resulting in that runner being taken in onto DON’T STOP resulting in that runner having to be severely checked and lose ground. App S Tomlinson’s licence to ride in races was suspended for a period of  (10) days to commence midnight 8 November 2020 and expire midnight 18 November 2020. Passing the 500m laid out and was eased when awkwardly placed at the heels of PRINCESS KAYO(NZ). Lost near fore bar plate in running and returned with small abrasions to its near for leg.  
 
NIC NAT NUI - Held up for clear running from the 500m until entering the straight.
 
SACRED SUITE – Was restrained at the start to take up a rearward position closer to the rail.
 
PRINCESS KAYO – Raced three wide throughout
 
FLYBRIDGE – Rider S Cormack reported the gelding to be making an abnormal respiratory noise.  Trainer B Lockwood was notified that he will be required to provide a Veterinary Clearance with satisfactory results of an endoscopic examination prior to the horse racing again.
 
 
Race 6: WORKFORCE SUCCESS QTIS 3YO Handicap 1350 metres
 
MISHANI EPIC – Began slowly. Over raced in the early stages. Had to be steadied when improved quickly to the inside of CORVO.
 
STAROSA – App B Northduft was reprimanded for using the whip 7 times prior to the 100m, which is 2 more than permitted. AR132(7)(a)(ii)
 
HE'S THE NEWS – Began awkwardly and lost ground.
 
CORVO – Began awkwardly and lost ground.
 
DZSENIFER – Raced three wide without cover throughout
 
PALLADAS – Laid in under pressure over the final 100m
 
GLITTER STRIP – Held up in the early part of the straight.
 
QUEEN DAZZLER – Commenced to over race and had to be restrained passing the 800m.
 
 
Race 7: DIRECT DISTRIBUTION Class 6 Plate 1350 metres
 
SAXTON ROCK – Over raced in the early stages. Near the 500m was carried wider when STAR OF MICHELIN shifted out across the heels of TOKORIKI LAD. A post race veterinary examination of SAXTON ROCK identified the gelding to be lame in  near fore leg. Trainer M Dunn was notified that he will be required to provide a Veterinary Clearance prior to the horse racing or trialing again.
 
DESERT LORD – Raced three wide without cover throughout.
 
STAR OF MICHELIN – Slow to begin. Put in an awkward stride near the 700m.
 
LUBUK – Had difficulty obtaining clear running from the 400m until passing the 100m
 
 
Race 8: BOSS DESIGNS OPEN QUALITY Handicap 1350 metres
 
BERGERAC – Slow to begin
 
BOOMSARA – Raced three wide throughout.
 
EMERALD KINGDOM – Performed below market expectation. A post race veterinary examination of gelding identified a slower than expected recovery from racing.
 
SNITCH – Over raced in the early stages.
 
GET STUCK IN – Lost and off fore plate in running.
 
MONSIEUR GUSTAVE – Jockey D Smith was reprimanded for using the whip 7 times prior to the 100m, which is 2 more than permitted. AR132(7)(a)(ii).
 
RECKLESS CHOICE – Slow to begin. Steadied over the concluding stages.
 
BALLISTIC BOY – Over raced in the early stages. Held up for clear running for a short distance approaching the 400m. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
 
Race 9:  TAB VENUE MODE C,G&E BM80 Handicap 1200 metres
 
Start was delayed when STUTTERING had to be replated after casting its off fore plate.
 
BRING IT HOME POP – Slow to begin
 
AGASSI – Raced three wide throughout.
 
STUTTERING – Stood flat footed and lost significant ground and trailed took no competitive part in today’s event. Lost a near hind plate in running. Trainer R Heathcote was advised that the gelding must trial to the satisfaction from stewards  before being permitted to race again.
 
COMMAND'N'CONQUER – Inclined to lay in under pressure in the home straight.
 
LE PALMIER – Raced wide in the early stages. Weakened in the home straight.
 
WIDESPREAD – Became fractious on route to the barrier and made contact with running rail and as a result underwent a pre race examination by the veterinary surgeon and cleared to start.
 
SPENDING MY TIME – Over raced in the early stages.
