PedofskiStarter – R Smith, P Cousins. GENERAL Stewards in the presence of Trainer R. Cameron and Jockey S. Thornton inquired into the circumstances of Trainer R. Cameron engaging a rider for LADY SOLERNO. Evidence was heard from Trainer R. Cameron and Jockey S. Thornton and text messages were tabled. After hearing evidence Stewards were of the opinion that no firm engagement was established and therefore no further action was taken. Race 1: ST PATRICKS DAY FESTIVAL 19 MARCH QTIS Two-Year-OldHandicap 1100 metres Jemeldi – Hampered on jumping away. Laid out when placed under pressure in the straight. Executive Stress – Momentarily inconvenienced on entering the straight. Russian Racketeer – Passing the 400m shifted in contacting EXECUTIVE STRESS. Sidestep Me – Passing the 1000m shifted in and away from SPIRITUALISED which shifted in abruptly. Laid in when placed under pressure in the home straight. Spiritualised – Overraced in the early and middle stages. Passing the 900m had to be restrained to avoid the heels of JEMELDI. Passing the 700m shifted out contacting WILD BOTANICA. Wild Botanica – Jumped away awkwardly. Passing the 900m had to be restrained to avoid the heels of JEMELDI which shifted in when insufficiently clear. Jockey T. Brooker, rider of JEMELDI was reprimanded under the provision of AR131(a) and was reminded to be clear when shifting ground in future. Raced wide without cover throughout the event. Laid out rounding the turn. Race 2: SKY RACING BENCHMARK 78 Handicap 2200 metres Stuck With You (NZ) – Slow to begin. Raced wide in the early stages of the event. Continuation – Slow to begin. Sayl (GB) – Passing the 1900m had to be retrained after improving onto the heels of TAKEITTOTHELIMIT after the pace of the race slackened. Kutayha (NZ) – Jumped away awkwardly. Had difficulty obtaining clear running from passing the 500m to passing the 300m. A post race veterinary examination revealed signs of coughing with mucus discharge. Trainers representative Mr B. Killion was advised that a veterinary clearance including the results of an endoscopic examination would be required prior to accepting for a future race. Takeittothelimit – Jumped away awkwardly. Outback Gladiator – Rider reported that his mount travelled well in the early stages of the event but when placed under pressure from the 600m, commenced to weaken and ran to the line in a disappointing manner. Aiolos – Slow to begin. Passing the 1900m had to be restrained to avoid the heels of CONTINUATION which commenced to overrace once the pace of the race slackened. Race 3: BRC MEMBERSHIP OPEN Handicap 1200 metres Colpo Di Tamburo – Raced wide throughout the event. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Roman Aureus – Momentarily held up for clear running on entering the home straight. Constant Flight – Hampered on jumping away. Ef Troop – Hampered on jumping away. Laid out when placed under pressure in the straight. Goodonya Sonja – Jumped away awkwardly, shifted out contacting CONSTANT FLIGHT. Laid out when placed under pressure in the straight. Chicago Cub – Slow to begin. A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be short striding behind. Following the running of this event the track was upgraded to a Soft 6. Race 4: CASCADE QTIS Three-Year-Old Handicap 1350 metres Mishani Untamed – When questioned regarding the performance of the filly, Apprentice W Peel stated that her mount failed to respond to the urgings in the early stages of the event. She added that passing the 600m her mount began to respond to her riding and finished the event off well. She added that in her opinion that MISHANI UNTAMED would be better suited with the removal of blinkers. Trainer L Ross confirmed that he would remove the blinkers prior to next start. Sacca – Lost ground in the home straight. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Cool Lad – Held up for clear running on entering the straight to approaching the 200m. Logomania – Raced wide throughout the event. Red Wave – Held up for clear running on entering the home straight to passing the 200m. Tee Amici – Slow to begin. Huriwai – Stewards permitted the late rider change of J. Byrne after L. Cassidy was unable to make the weight. L. Cassidy was fined $100 under the provision of AR190(3). Held up for clear running on entering the home straight and was unable to be fully tested at any stage in the straight. Race 5: GIRLS DAY OUT MARCH Colts, Geldings & Entires No Metro Wins Handicap 1100 metres Gogol – Laid in when placed under pressure in the home straight. Mort Doyle – A post race veterinary examination revealed a laceration to the near hind leg. Daltoro – Knuckled on jumping. Had difficulty obtaining clear running passing the 600m Osamu – Jumped away awkwardly. Overraced in the early and middle stages. Maya Bay – Slow to begin. See It Thru – Slow into stride. Keep On Loving You – Rider reported that his mount failed to travel at any stage of the event. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Magic In Me -Raced wide throughout the event. Race 6: XXXX DRY Fillies and Mares No Metro Wins Handicap 1100 metres Motomiss – Slow to begin. Liza With A Zee – Raced wide in the early stages of the event. Cossie – Laid in when placed under pressure in the home straight. Grace Bay (NZ) –Lost its off fore plate prior to the start requiring farrier attention. Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was passed fit to start. Raced wide throughout the event. Moonan Joyce –Laid in when placed under pressure in the home straight. Shanjomi – Late scratching by order of stewards at 8.24am, Trainer M. Dunn was fined $300 under the provisions of AR193 for failing to scratch SHANJOMI by the prescribed scratching time. Rich Lister – Jumped away awkwardly. Held up for clear running from the entering the home straight to approaching the 150m. Miss Lot Won – Laid out when placed under pressure in the straight. Race 7: TAB VENUE MODE Class 3 Plate 1350 metres Garoppolo (NZ) – Momentarily inconvenienced passing the 300m when attempting to shift out to improve into clear running in doing so contacted MISTRESS OF DOOM. Hot Escort – Trainer L. White was fined $200 under the provision of LR67 for the late declaration of rider. Hampered on jumping away. Overraced in the early and middle stages. Palladas – Raced in restricted room on entering the home straight between GENERAL WOLFFE and VITESSE FRANCAIS and when attempting to improve into a marginal run passing the 300m, contacted the hindquarters of VITESSE FRANCAIS becoming extremely unbalanced and as a result was carried in across the heels of GENRAL WOLFFE and had to be checked. Tintinwin (NZ) – Raced wide throughout the event. Vitesse Francais – Jumped away awkwardly. Passing the 300m was badly hampered and had its hindquarters turned by PALLADAS which attempted to improve into a marginal run. Euro Belle – Raced wide throughout the event. Glitter Strip – Jumped away awkwardly. Laid out when placed under pressure in the straight. Mistress Of Doom – Hampered on jumping away. Commenced to race fierce as the pace of the race slackened passing the 1000m. Passing the 300m was contacted by GAROPPOLO (NZ) which shifted out to improve. General Wolffe – Momentarily inconvenienced passing the 300m by PALLADAS. Race 8: MAGIC MILLIONS GC MARCH CATALOGUE OUT SOON BENCHMARK 85 Handicap 1350 metres Never No More (IRE) – Hampered on jumping away. On return to scale was found to have lost its off fore plate. Sir Rocket – Jumped away awkwardly. Tavion Prince (NZ) – Slow to begin. Full Nelson (NZ) – Hampered on jumping away. Stuttering – Hampered on jumping away. Laid in when placed under pressure in the home straight. Zigallene (NZ) – Trainer H. Norman was advised a warning would be placed on the record of ZIGALLENE (NZ) in relation to being difficult to load. Trainer advised he would apply pre-race ear muffs to the mares gear prior to next start. Jumped away awkwardly. Laid out rounding the home turn. Dreamreacher – Overraced in the early and middle stages. Passing the 800m had to be restrained after improving onto the heels of TAVION PRINCE (NZ). Laid in under pressure over the concluding stages.
