Laid out under pressure over the concluding stages. MISHANI ECLIPSE – Hampered on jumping. MISHANI SUSPECT – Over raced in the middle stages of the event. UNEGA WAHY'A – Laid in under pressure in the straight. MISHANI OPAL – A pre-race veterinary examination cleared the gelding to start. Over raced in the middle stages of the event. MISHANI SUNSET – Awkward and slow to begin. MISHANI VOLTAGE – Over raced in the middle stages of the event. Race 2: ROAD TO MAGIC MILLIONS ON SALE NOW NO METRO WINS HANDICAP 1050M BEAST MODE – A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. MR GALAZI – Began awkwardly. RALPHIE – Obliged to alter course when momentarily held up for clear running passing the 250m and was obliged to shift wider to improve. AVOLONTE – Began awkwardly. THE KEWESS – Began awkwardly. GOBLIN' DE QUO – Awkwardly placed on heels passing the 300m. Laid in under pressure in the straight. HAMAKI – Laid in in the early stages. Laid in under pressure in the straight. Race 3: CASCADE FILLIES AND MARES BENCHMARK 78 HANDICAP 1200M GLORIOUS RUBY – Jumped away awkwardly. STROLL – Hampered on jumping. Held up for clear running on entering the home straight and was obliged to shift in to improve. HAKKAI MARU – Hampered on jumping and was carried in onto STROLL. Passing the 700m had to be restrained after improving onto heels and shifted wider as a result. MIDNIGHT IN TOKYO – Over raced in the early stages. Restrained after improving onto heels approaching the 600m. Held up for clearing running on entering the home straight. LATAKIA – Jumped awkwardly and shifted in abruptly hampering HAKKAI MARU. Raced wide throughout the event. Laid in under pressure. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to have a poor post-race recovery. Race 4: LORRAINE ERHART BENCHMARK 80 HANDICAP 2000M TAPPY'S LAD (NZ) – Bumped on a number of occasions passing the 500m by MONTABOT (FR) who shifted out to improve. FIFTH POSITION (IRE) – Stable representative C. Cavanough advised the gelding will be attempted to be ridden further back if circumstances permit. Ridden accordingly. Began awkwardly. TAPILDOODLEDO (NZ) – Jumped away awkwardly and shifted out abruptly. Shift wider passing the 1500m and remained racing three wide for the remainder of the event. MONTABOT (FR) – Laid in under pressure in the concluding stages. FLYING JOY – Held up for clear running passing the 500m until entering the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a minor abrasion to the near hind leg. Following the running of Race 4, the track was upgraded to a Soft 5. Race 5: SKY RACING QTIS THREE-YEAR-OLD HANDICAP 1200M VICTORY WIN – Jumped away awkwardly and was slow to begin. FINE SHOT – Slow to begin. Race 6: RTE CELEBRATING 20 YEARS CLASS 3 PLATE 1350M PENTITO – On entering the home straight was disappointed when attempting to improve into a run where there was insufficient room and as a result had to be restrained. SERGEANT HULKA – Over raced in the middle stages of the event. GOING TO THE SUN – Raced wide. SHEZADANDI – Lost right fore plate in running. TOJAKI – Laid in under pressure in the home straight. Race 7: LADBROKES BLACKBOOK BENCHMARK 68 HANDICAP 1200M BARISTASISTA – Held up for clear running upon entering the home straight until approaching the 200m. Laid in under pressure over the concluding stages. GOOMERI – Shifted in abruptly when entering the home straight becoming awkward in its stride. When questioned regarding the performance of the gelding Jockey B. Thompson stated that his mount travelled well in the early and middle stages however when asked for an effort after straightening weakened noticeably. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the near fore. Trainer M. Dunn was advised the gelding would require a veterinary certificate prior to its next start. SABALENKA (NZ) – Slow to begin and was hampered shortly after jumping away. DEEP FIRE – A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to be short stepping in the front. Race 8: CHANNEL 7 KEITH NOUD QUALITY HANDICAP 1200M HOLYFIELD – Began awkwardly. Over raced in the early stages of the event. Raced wide throughout. IRISH SONGS – Slow to begin and hampered shortly after jumping. Over raced in the early stages of the event. Became awkwardly placed on the heels of COMRADE ROSA over the concluding stages of the event. COMRADE ROSA – Held up for clear running upon entering the home straight until approaching the 100m. ALL THAT PIZZAZZ – Raced wide throughout. SNOWZONE – Over raced in the early stages of the event. Passing the 500m had to be steadied after improving onto heels. ZOUSHACK – Jumped awkwardly. Approaching the 200m was accidentally struck on the nose by the whip of Jockey D. Thornton when attempting to improve his mount into a run. Passing the 200m had to be steadied after being carried across the heels of MUNITIONS (USA). CIFRADO – Over raced in the early stages of the event. Laid in under pressure in the straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the colt to have a poor post-race recovery. EXTREMIST – Laid in under pressure over the concluding stages. Race 9: XXXX CLASS 6 HANDICAP 1600M AMERICANA MAGIC – Trainer G. Allard advised the gelding will be attempted to be ridden further forward if circumstances permit. Jumped away awkwardly and shifted out abruptly bumping A BIG CHANCE. As a result, the gelding was positioned further back in the field. Raced wide in the early stages before obtaining cover passing the 1000m. CALM SEEKER (NZ) – Laid out under pressure in the straight. COUNT THE COIN – Jockey A. Jones reported on return to scale that the gelding was disappointing in its finishing efforts. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be exhibiting clinical signs of the thumps. DUKE OF BUCKINGHAM – A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. THE CATCH – Trainer J. Bruce advised the gelding will be ridden with cover. Ridden accordingly. TYRESA – Approaching the 100m mark, became awkwardly placed on the heels of TIDAL CREEK which shifted out marginally. As a result, raced in restricted room for a number of strides before having to shift wider to improve. A BIG CHANCE – Hampered on jumping away. Race 10: BRC ASCOT SUNSETS SERIES BENCHMARK 78 HANDICAP 1350M ZUMA CALIFORNIA – Hampered on jumping. STARZAM – Held up for clear running when entering the home straight. Approaching the 100m attempted to shift in to improve but again was held up and was unable to be tested in the run to the finish. WOLF MOON – Raced wide throughout the event. THE DROVER – Began awkwardly. Held up for clear running rounding the home turn until entering the home straight. ALLEZ ZOU (NZ) – Hampered shortly after jumping away having its hindquarters turned. Raced wide throughout the event. STORM THE FORTRESS – Raced keenly when being restrained approaching the 1000m when attempting to find cover.
