Performed below market expectation, rider M Rodd reported that the gelding had an easy run throughout however could not offer any explanation to the disappointing performance. Laid in under pressure in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination of CHICO MILAGRO returned from racing making an abnormal respiratory noise. Stable representative was notified that he will be required to provide a Veterinary Clearance with satisfactory results of an endoscopic examination prior to the horse racing or trialing again.LUBUK – Began awkwardlyWONDERFUL RIRI – Began awkwardly. Performed below market expectations, a post-race veterinary examination of gelding did not identify any abnormal findings. MONTEZ - Jockey B Stewart was fined $500 for using the whip 6 times prior to the 100m, which is 1 more than permitted. AR132(7)(a)(ii)Race 8: PIMM'S PLATE (Class 6) 1400 metresUNBIASED – Steadied shortly after the start from the heels of LOVESPEED.ENTERPRISE PRINCE – Raced three wide with cover throughout.SPIRIT ESPRIT - Over-raced early and middle stagesWEEKEND AFFAIR – Over-raced early and middle stagesSCOTTISH MIST – Raced three wide throughout. A post-race veterinary examination of the mare did not identify any abnormal findings.BARODA – Laid out under pressure in the early part of the home straight.RED DOULTON – Slow to begin.LUNAR LIGHT – A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to have bled from both nostrils 1st time. Connections were advised that the horse would incur a 3 month ban from racing and must undertake a 1000m gallop to the satisfaction of Stewards before being permitted to race again. Also it was identified that the mare had cardiac arrythmia connections were advised that the horse shall not start in any race until the Stewards have received a satisfactory veterinary report. The report must include the results of an ECG and must satisfactory gallop of at least 1000m in the presence of Stewards.LOVESPEED GIRL – Raced three wide without cover throughout Race 9: Dulux Class 4 Handicap 1200 metresKUBRICK – Raced wide throughout. SLOW HANDS (NZ) – Near the 1200m commenced to over-race to the inside of IPSO NEM FELEK. Rider dropped his whip shortly after passing the 250m. A post-race veterinary examination identified lacerations to the near hind leg.THE MINIVAN – Slow into stride. Held up for clear running over the concluding stages.ACHIEVE VICTORY – Near 400m steadied off the heels of OUR REBEL which shifted out after being bumped by MOSSHIKI. Held up for clear of concluding stages.IPSO NEM FELEK – Proved difficult to settle in the early and middle stages. MOSSHIKI – Had difficulty obtaining clear running in the home straight. Raced in restricted room near the 400m and in doing so made contact with OUR REBEL. Approaching the 100m raced in restricted room and shortly after was tightened for room when THE MINIVAN shifted out abruptly.OUR REBEL – Near the 1200m improved on the heels of SLOW HANDS.
