Stewards considered an objection lodged by Apprentice L Kilner the rider of the second placegetter GET STUCK IN against the winner JUNCTION (M Rodd) alleging interference near the 150m. After taking evidence from all parties and viewing the Stewards patrol footage. The Stewards were of the opinion that after passing the 150m JUNCTION shifted in resulting in GET STUCK IN being tightened for room between JUNCTION and EPIC GIRL. Stewards were of the opinion that this interference exceeded the ½ head margin, particularly bearing in mind the manner which both horses finished the race off, subsequently the protest was upheld.
