After viewing the replay, App Phillips elected to take the matter no further. Slow to begin. Following this event App Phillips was examined by the Club Medical Officers and stood down from her remaining riding engagements, with changes made as per the race day summary sheet. App Phillips was advised she must provide a medical certificate prior to her next race ride.IT’S A STICK UP – checked near the 400 metres and lost ground. When questioned regarding the disappointing performance, App T Brooker stated that whilst the gelding travelled fairly in the run, it IT’S A STICK UP failed to run on despite being checked at the 400 metres, and in her opinion was disappointing. A post race Vet examination failed to reveal any abnormality. Representative for Trainer S Kendrick gave an undertaking to report any abnormality that may come to light in the coming days.JEPTOO – App E Cass was fined the sum of $100 under AR92(12) for failing to claim her full allowance.STELLAR HEIGHTS – raced greenly near the 400 metres and shifted in of its own accord resulting in another runner being checked. Following the event Trainer K Perrin reported the mare had suffered abrasions to the off fore fetlock.DANGEROUS DANICA – hampered at the start, obliged to steady near the 400 metres and inclined to lay in under pressure in the home straight. Rider N Evans was reminded of his obligation to ride his mounts out fully to the line. RACE 2: MAIDEN PLATE 1200 MetresATLANTEAN SOULS – checked near the 50 metres and lost ground. Rider N Nishio was fined $100 for excessive use of the whip prior to the 100 metres. BY EMTEEARE – correct weight was delayed to allow rider S Bayliss, placed fifth by the judge, to review the replay in relation to an incident leaving the 200 metres. After doing so, S Bayliss elected to take the matter no further. Raced wide throughout. Had to steady from heels near the 200 metres. MATILDA MISS – awkwardly placed inside heels of another runner leaving the 500 metres. THAT’S ROSIE – began awkwardly and lost ground. App M Cox pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under AR137(a) in that she permitted her mount to shift in near the 50 metres when insufficiently clear of ATLANTEAN SOULS which had to be checked. M Cox was suspended for a period of eight days to commence midnight 12 March 2016 up to and including midnight 20 March 2016. SUNDAY’S DESTINY – rider P Romeo was reprimanded for allowing the filly to shift out under pressure leaving the 200 metres obliging another runner to steady away from heels. RACE 3: BENCHMARK 45HDCP 1200 MetresCAZNOT – slow to begin.EMBER GLOW – declared a late scratching at 8:30am. Trainer D Brown was advised the gelding would require a Vet clearance prior to its next race start. CANID – checked near the 400 metres.AT THE ROUGE – App T Brooker was found guilty of a charge of careless riding under AR137(a) in that she made insufficient effort to prevent her mount shifting in near the 400 metres resulting in CANID being checked. T Brooker was suspended for a period of nine days to commence midnight 20 March 2016 up to and including midnight 29 March 2016. SOMERSET DAWN – slow to begin.RACE 4: MAIDEN PLATE 1460 MetresFAREWELL ANNA – slow to begin.MISS WHIPPY – slow to begin. Raced greenly and hung out rounding the first turn and continued to do so until leaving the 800 metres. Trainer B Hudson was advised a warning would be placed on the mare’s racing manners. OUR LITTLE MISSY – slow to begin.DRUM STYX – raced wide in the early and middle stages of the event.ZABONET – correct weight was delayed to allow rider J Hoopert to view the photo finish image for fourth. After doing so, correct weight was declared on the semaphored numbers.RACE 5: CLASS B HDCP 1460 MetresYANCHA BOY – obliged to steady near the 1300 metres.FLINDERS DEAGON – near the 1300 metres, shifted in when not fully clear. Rider M Gray was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances.AIMING HIGH – jumped out at the start and checked another runner.MISTER LOOSEEL – after being injured en route to the track, was examined by the Club Vet and declared a late scratching at 3:24 pm. As stewards had delayed betting on this event no deductions were applicable. Trainer D Tunnah was advised the gelding would require a Vet clearance prior to its next race start. NAUTICAL LAD – passing the 1000 metres improved onto heels of another runner and shifted out. Obliged to steady off heels near the 900 metres.RATHGIBBON – shifted in under pressure over the final 100 metres.
