Williamson, C. Fedrick Race 1: DES MOORE MEMORIAL MAIDEN PLATE 2-Y-O & Up 800 MetresCASUAL MAN – Raced wide throughout Forced wider turning into the home straight when SHE’S SO SWANK made the turn very awkwardly and laid out. EXCEPTIONAL RUPERT – Began awkwardly. ABSALON TULIP – Began awkwardly. Rider C. Taylor could offer no excuses for the disappointing performance. Underwent a post race veterinary examination which revealed no apparent abnormalities. FAY'S FLYIN' – Raced in restricted room and forced wider approaching the 600m when RICHKISS laid out. GOOSE STEP – Declared a late scratching at 12.04pm due to transport difficulties. KINOSHITA – Began awkwardly. Raced in restricted room and forced wider approaching the 600m. Obliged to alter course near the 200m when awkwardly placed on the heels of RICHKISS. Rider M. Butler reported that the mare resented the cross-over noseband and recommended removing it next start to connections. RICHKISS – Slow to begin. Laid out approaching the 600m causing FAY’S FLYIN and KINOSHITA to race in restricted room for a short distance, and to be forced wider. SHE'S SO SWANK – Began awkwardly and lost ground. Made the home turn awkwardly, laid out forcing CASUAL MAN wider. Race 2: MITCH AND BRUCE'S BAR RETIREMENT BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP 800 MetresGLOBAL EMPIRE – Steadied from heels near the 500m. KOGA NINJA – Dipped shortly after the start. Raced wide throughout. Rider H. Phillips reported that the gelding raced erratically, and she had recommended to connections to remove the blinkers next start. MERSEY GIRL – Slow to begin. KENTUCKY ROSE – Bumped with SISTER GEORGIA on several occasions near the 500m. Laid in under pressure in the home straight. Apprentice R. Thorburn was reprimanded pursuant to AR114(1) for failing to report a condition that may have affected the performance of his mount after reporting to Stewards post-race that the mare had blood in its mouth prior to the start. A post race veterinary examination revealed a small laceration to the nearside of the mouth. FOREBEARS – Slow to begin. SISTER GEORGIA – Approaching the 500m, raced in restricted room and bumped several times with KENTUCKY ROSE. Apprentice R. Thorburn, rider of KENTUCKY ROSE, was reprimanded pursuant to AR131(a) for careless riding in this incident. Became awkwardly placed on the heels of KENTUCKY ROSE near the 250m. Apprentice I. Jessop reported her mount raced greenly throughout. Race 3: THE STONEHOUSE RETREAT BURNETT TO THE BEACH SERIES BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP 1200 MetresHOLIDAY DREAMS – Began awkwardly and hampered shortly after. Raced keenly for a short distance approaching the 1000m and had to be steadied when crossed by APPLECROSS. SETHLANS – Raced wide throughout. CINTIA – Approaching the 1000m, restrained from the heels of APPLECROSS when that runner shifted in when insufficiently clear. Jockey H. Phillips was reprimanded pursuant to AR131(a) for careless riding in this incident. OPAQUELY – Shifted out on jumping. Race 4: NOEL BROWN PLUMBING QTIS MAIDEN PLATE 3-Y-O & Up 1460 MetresARTELUCE – Slow to begin. Co-trainer D. Lane was advised that a warning would be placed on the barrier manners of ARTELUCE. SERAPUS – A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be heat stressed and was treated on course. FASHION MAGIC – Apprentice P. Carter could offer no explanation for the disappointing performance. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer J. Zielke reported that FASHION MAGIC will now be spelled. FORGETS ME NOT – Bumped on jumping. LADY LETHAN – Fractious in the barriers. LEVEL ONE – Stood flat footed as the start was effected and lost significant ground. Trainer T. Pascoe was advised that a warning would be placed on the mare’s barrier manners.SHEZABLAST – Shifted out on jumping and bumped FORGETS ME NOT. Raced wide for the majority. MISHANI EMPIRE –Slow to begin. Near the 1200m, steadied from heels of LADY LETHAN which shifted in. Race 5: PAUL DOLAN'S LAST ESK RACE CALL BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP 1750 MetresLONERGY – Slow to begin. Raced wide throughout. GOOD LIFE DIVA – Rider W. O’Connell was fined $100 under AR190(3) for accepting a ride when overweight and was replaced by rider A. Spinks. Began awkwardly and lost ground. ALERT AND READY – Slow to begin. Raced wide throughout. WORLD ATLAS – Began awkwardly. Jockey L. Miller reported that the gelding lost its tongue tie in running which may have affected its’ performance.BUDDY'S TALE – Began awkwardly. Raced wide throughout. CANNY BOY – Began awkwardly.
