App. L Attard advised Stewards that the gate on barrier 9 had swung back after opening and made contact with the head of his mount MYSTIC HARMONY. Correct weight was delayed to enable the available patrol footage of the start to be reviewed. From the footage it was evident  that the gate had swung  back slowly after opening and may have caused MYSTIC HARMONY to be marginally slowly into stride. However Stewards were of the opinion that the incident had not materially prejudiced the chances of the gelding finishing in 1st, 2nd or 3rd placing and correct weight was declared on the semaphored numbers.

ENTER SANDMAN – Was inclined to over-race in the early and middle stages. Was inclined to lay in under pressure down the running.

ARCANUS – Was inclined to race ungenerously in the middle stages when awkwardly placed between runners.
