Missen, the rider of OUR CLARKY, was fined $200 for using the whip on 10 occasions prior to the 100m. RACE 1: LOCKYER PRODUCE MAIDEN PLATE – 1100M BALCO BOY – Bumped with another runner on a number of occasions in the early stages. Had to be checked from the heels of LEGS UNBARRED when overracing near the 600m. DELAGO JET – Began awkwardly. Raced wide throughout. REVERSE LOGIC – Raced wide for the majority of the event. BROKEN GLASS – Raced greenly over the concluding stages. DOVANA – Bumped with another runner on jumping. LEGS UNBARRED – Blundered making the home turn. Raced wide throughout. C. Eaton was fined $200 for using the whip on 9 occasions prior to the 100m. OUR HAWKINS – Bumped with another runner on jumping. RHYTHM AND BELLS – Slow into stride. THE BRUCE – Tightened for room at the start. Bumped with another runner on a number of occasions in the early stages. Raced ungenerously whilst being restrained in the early stages. Laid in in the home straight. RACE 2: GATTON MOTEL MAIDEN PLATE – 1100M BEL ABOVE – Steadied when tightened for room shortly after the start. DIME THIEF – Raced wide throughout. OUR ROCKY – Bumped with another runner on jumping. OXFORD ROAD – Bumped with another runner on jumping. Restrained from the heels of LADY CASUARINA shortly after the start when that runner shifted in, and then continued to race keenly from that point onwards. Apprentice L. Tilley, the rider of LADY CASUARINA, was advised to exercise more care when shifting ground. MAKOA – Raced wide without cover throughout. THE DRUM BEATS ON – Began awkwardly, shifted out and bumped another runner. Raced wide throughout. Hung out rounding the home turn. ASPEN STREET – Bumped on jumping. RACE 3: OZ LAV PLUMBING MAIDEN H'CAP – 1600M LUCKY THREE SEVENS – Overraced in the early and middle stages. Hung out over the concluding stages. S. Drake was fined $200 for using the whip on 7 occasions prior to the 100m. BRED IN THE RED – Raced keenly in the early and middle stages. SHINOBI – Raced wide throughout. MAJOR BRO – After being caught wide in the early stages was restrained to a position closer to the rails and as a consequence settled further back in the field than anticipated. Made the home turn wide. LITTLE MISS MONACO – Raced wide throughout. CASPERCCINO – Slow to begin. PINK CHAPERONE – Laid in in the home straight. PEQUENINOS – Overraced in the early stages. RACE 4: GATTON VIEW HOTEL F&M RATINGS BAND 0-65 H'CAP – 1100M COCONUT BAY – Raced wide for the majority of the event and shifted wider rounding the home turn. CHRISTIES JOY – Hung out for the majority of the event. ISLAND SUNSET – Slow to begin. HALL OF PEACE – Forced wider on the track by another runner after passing the 400m. RACE 5: LOCKYER HOTEL FOREST HILL CLASS 3 PLATE – 1100M SHANDIEN – Overraced outside the leader for the majority of the event despite the efforts of its rider. MINIVER – Apprentice B. Ainsworth was fined $200 for using the whip on 6 occasions prior to the 100m. RACE 6: APPRENTICE OF THE YEAR 2016/2016 CONGRATS JIMMY ORMAN BENCHMARK 65 H'CAP – 1600M ALBERT’S CHOICE – Raced three wide throughout without cover. RUBY RAY – Slow to begin. When questioned regarding the horse’s performance, S. Bogenhuber advised that despite being slow to begin, her mount travelled well in the early and middle stages, however when placed under pressure from the 600m failed to respond to her riding and proved disappointing. She added that in her opinion the quick back-up and the length of this preparation may have been telling factors in the performance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. RACE 7: ROYAL GEORGE HOTEL ROSEWOOD C,G&E RATINGS BAND 0-55 H'CAP – 1100M OH MY ROCKET – F. Jervis was reprimanded for using the whip on 6 occasions prior to the 100m. GOOD JUDGE – Hampered when tightened for room shortly after the start. SNAKE ATTACK – Began awkwardly and shifted in shortly after the start. Had to be steadied near the 800m when tightened for room between TRUST ONO ONE and SERAPHIMS (R. Williams), which shifted in when insufficiently clear. Apprentice R. Williams was issued with a severe reprimand. BLETCHY BOY – Raced three wide without cover throughout. PRINCE OF PEACE – Bumped shortly after the start. CRUSADER KING – Checked when tightened for room between runners shortly after the start and lost ground. TIN’S POCKET – Hampered when tightened for room shortly after the start. Had to be restrained when racing close to the heels of NO EQUAL near the 900m and then raced ungenerously for some distance thereafter. NO EQUAL – Bumped and became unbalanced shortly after the start. RACE 8: LIGHTS ON THE HILL MEMORIAL OCTOBER 1-2ND CLASS 1 H'CAP – 1400M The start of this race was delayed when PITBULL required farrier attention. The declaration of correct weight was delayed to allow apprentice B. Ainsworth, the rider of CASINO CENTURY, to view the stewards’ patrol footage to determine she had grounds on which to lodge an objection against 2nd placegetter AMBER LIGHTS. After viewing the videos, apprentice Ainsworth advised stewards that she did not wish to proceed. SECRET CODE – L. Dittman was fined $200 for using the whip on 7 occasions prior to the 100m. LA LA ROCK – Slow to begin. Held up from a point leaving the 500m until entering the home straight. CASINO CENTURY – Bumped approaching the 200m. PITBULL – Raced wide in the stages before improving to obtain a position outside the leader at the 800m. AMBER LIGHTS – Held up from a point leaving the 500m until entering the home straight. After being bumped by PITBULL approaching the 200m, shifted out and bumped CASINO CENTURY. Inclined to lay out under pressure over the concluding stages. GIVE ‘EM CURRY – Raced three wide throughout. WALL STREET VIXEN – Began awkwardly. Raced wide throughout. POP BUBBLE POP – Apprentice M.
