When asked to comment on the performance, Jockey M Hellyer stated that the gelding travelled comfortably during the early and middle stages but was reluctant to improve between runners when asked to improve passing the 400m. Jockey Hellyer was of the opinion that the gelding would be better suited when able to improve to the outside of runners and also when stepped up over further distances.

Stewards advised App. Payne that once obtaining the lead near the 1000m she should have made a greater effort to restrain the gelding so as to give it every opportunity to finish off the race to the best of its ability.
