GLEN MASSEY – Over raced in the middle stages.  When asked to comment on the performance of the gelding, jockey A Allen reported that the gelding raced greenly during the event and as it was only having its third start in a race today it would derive a significant benefit from the race experience of today’s event. Jockey Allen added that he advised trainer P Duncan that in his opinion the gelding would also benefit from the addition of blinkers to its gear. Trainer P Duncan advised that the gelding would now be sent for a spell. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. A swab sample was taken.

FORMULA EXCEL – Apprentice Y Lewis advised that the gelding travelled comfortably during the event, however when asked to quicken, raced one paced and in her opinion based on this would be better suited in races over a greater distance than that of today’s event.
