As Amy Van Der Sanden was indisposed due to injury, riding changes were made as per the Stewards Summary Sheet.
 
RACE 1: KEVIN VERRILLS MEMORIAL CLASS B HANDICAP 1170M
 
Start the race was delayed when SCHREIBER broke through the gates, was quickly restrained and was subsequently cleared by the veterinarian to start.
 
CASINO GARDENS – Reared as the start was effected and lost considerable ground.
 
BYRON BABE – Blundered on jumping. Had to steady from heels near the 700m. Raced wide thorough out.
 
CITY MARKET- Raced wide throughout.
 
RACE 2:TATTERSALLS RACING CLUB QTIS MAIDEN HANDICAP 1170M
 
BEL ABOVE – Blundered on jumping away, dislodging its rider. H. English was examined by QAS and transported to hospital for further examination. Subsequently replaced as per race day summary.
 
DEALERS LUCK – Slow to muster speed.
 
ABBEY DAZZLER – Raced wide throughout.
 
SHELLAC – Raced wide throughout.
 
RACE 3:CDL JIM CONNOLLY MEMORIAL B’MARK 60 HANDICAP 1030M
 
SHANDIEN – Slow to begin.
 
VORTUKA – Blundered on jumping away. Raced wide throughout.

Stewards accepted trainer J. Munce explanation for late rider of AL’S DREAM (S. Alam).
 
SPEEDREADER – Slow to begin.
 
GET OUTA UTAH – Rider I. Coombes reported that the gelding resented the kick back therefore elected to race wide throughout.
 
BALINESE BOY– App. C. Bayliss reported that during the middle stages the gelding resented the kick back and lost ground.
 
RACE 5: RIVER JUNCTION GYMPIE CUP OPEN HANDICAP 1600M
 
 
FASTA THAN LIGHT – Jumped away awkwardly, shifted out inconveniencing SONGSPUR.
 
SONGSPUR – inconvenienced shortly after the start.
 
SUNBURY – tightened for room and lost ground shortly after the start.
 
FAMECHON BARONESS – Steadied from heels shortly after the start.
 
TIVERTON – Blundered on jumping away.
