GENERAL
 
As Apprentice Jockey B Youngberry was to be overweight in Race 2 (ACTIVATED) and Race 3 (NICHOLAS ADAM), she was replaced by Apprentice Jockey E Molloy. Apprentice B Youngberry was issued with a reprimand pursuant to AR190(3) for accepting the rides when overweight.

Race 1: BMW AUDIT BM45 HANDICAP 850 Metres
 
LUXOR PRINCE – Had to steady and lost ground when placed in restricted room on jumping between BRAIDWOOD QUEEN which shifted out and YOU ESS ESS ARE which was taken in by SEEYOU LATER. Raced wide throughout.
 
SEEYOU LATER – Shifted in on jumping and hampered YOU ESS ESS ARE. Raced wide. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
YOU ESS ESS ARE – Tightened for room on jumping when SEEYOU LATER jumped inwards. Was obliged to steady and shift out to avoid the heels of SEEYOU LATER. Raced wide throughout.
 
BRAIDWOOD QUEEN – Began awkwardly and shifted out on jumping obliging LUXOR PRINCE to steady.
 
Race 2: BMW FINANCIAL SERVICES QTIS MAIDEN PLATE 3-Y-O & Up. 1170 Metres
 
TWOPOINTFOUR – Began awkwardly resulting in rider Apprentice J Busuttin becoming momentarily unbalanced. Raced wide throughout.
 
PATTI 'N' FAY – Began awkwardly. Steadied and shifted out to avoid the heels of STEEL GARDENIA which laid out passing the 1000m. Raced wide throughout.
 
PINK SOLITAIRE – Shifted in on jumping.
 
STEEL GARDENIA – Momentarily laid out rounding the first turn passing the 1000m obliging PATTI 'N' FAY to shift out to avoid heels. Raced wide throughout.
 
ACTIVATED – As Apprentice B Youngberry was unable to ride the gelding at the allocated weight she was replaced by Apprentice E Molloy. Slow to begin.
 
Race 3: BMW ACCOUNTANTS 76TH BIRTHDAY 0 - 55 HANDICAP 1170 Metres
 
Prior to the declaration of correct weight, K Sinclair, Trainer of Fourth place getter HOLY CROWN, ridden by Apprentice J Devine lodged a protest against Third place getter,GUS THE BUS, ridden by Apprentice J Busuttin, alleging interference in the home straight passing the 150m. After considering evidence from all parties including K Brewster, Trainer of GUS THE BUS and after viewing the race footage, Stewards could not be satisfied that GUS THE BUS had shifted ground resulting in HOLY CROWN shifting in across that runners’ heels and when considering the 2¼ length margin, Stewards dismissed the protest and declared correct weight on the judge’s placings.
 
BABU KING – Bumped on jumping.
 
GUS THE BUS – Raced wide throughout.
 
HOLY CROWN – Raced wide throughout. Passing the 150m, shifted in across the heels of GUS THE BUS.
 
HELL OF A PRINCE – Began awkwardly, shifted out and bumped BABU KING.
 
NICHOLAS ADAM - As Apprentice B Youngberry was unable to ride the gelding at the allocated weight she was replaced by Apprentice E Molloy. Slow to begin.
 
Race 4:BMWCA VIP CLIENTS RACE OPEN PLATE 1030 Metres
 
Correct weight was delayed to allow Apprentice B Youngberry and Apprentice P Carter to view the patrol footage of the race. When both riders and Stewards were satisfied correct weight was declared on the judge’s placings.
 
COAT OF ARMS – Raced in restricted room passing the 600m between HARD LANDING and CITY CHICK.
 
HAN DYNASTY – Slow to begin. Momentarily steadied passing the 600m and held up for clear running until passing the 550m when racing in restricted room to the inside of HARD LANDING. At a subsequent inquiry in the presence of Jockey Mentor Jeff McKay, evidence was taken from the four riders in the race regarding the tightening at the 600m. After gathering evidence and reviewing the patrol footage, Stewards elected to take the matter no further other than to advise Apprentice J Busuttin to exercise greater care when improving with runners to her inside.
 
HARD LANDING – Steadied passing the 600m when racing in restricted room to the inside of COAT OF ARMS.
 
CITY CHICK – Began awkwardly and blundered on jumping. Shifted in slightly passing the 600m.
 
Race 5: COUNTRY CUPS CHALLENGE /BROWN, MCCAULAY & WARREN ACCOUNTANTS GYMPIE CUP OPEN HANDICAP 1600 Metres
 
REJOICED – Slow to begin. Over-raced in the early stages.
 
STAMPEDE WARRIOR – Slow to begin. Laid in passing the 100m and was straightened by its` rider.
 
GENTLE PRINCE – Passing the 1300m was obliged to steady and shift out across the heels of TAKE THE LEAD which shifted in, causing GENTLE PRINCE to clip heels, blunder and shift wider. At a subsequent inquiry into the incident, Apprentice J Devine, in the presence of Jockey Mentor Jeff McKay, was issued with a reprimand pursuant to AR131(a) for careless riding in that she made insufficient effort to prevent her mount from shifting into the rightful running of GENTLE PRINCE (App J Busuttin) passing the 1300m causing that horse to steady and shift out.
 
CENTAUR – Gates on this barrier were slow to open resulting in CENTAUR being slow to begin. Club officials have been advised of the slow barrier and have undertaken to test and make any repairs required to the barriers before the next race meeting. Blundered on jumping.
 
TAKE THE LEAD – Blundered on jumping. Shifted in passing the 1300m resulting in GENTLE PRINCE being obliged to steady and shift out across the heels of TAKE THE LEAD causing GENTLE PRINCE to blunder and shift wider.
 
THE WELLIAN – Began awkwardly. Shifted wider passing the1150m and raced wide for the remainder. Apprentice L Martyn reported that in her opinion THE WELLIAN after getting back early, resented the kickback from todays` racing surface.
 
CANNY BOY – Raced wide throughout. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
