GENERAL

Race 1. IYAH CLASS B HANDICAP 1460m
RIVER TYCOON was a late withdrawal at 11.45am after becoming cast in its stable. As betting on the event had not yet commenced, no deductions were applicable. Trainer G Holt was advised a Veterinary clearance is required prior to next race start.
DISS ‘N’ DAT – Cast the off fore plate in the parade yard. Refitted behind the barriers.
TOUCH OF BALI – Laid in under pressure down the running.
QUEENOFMAINSTREET – Tired noticeably over the concluding stages. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.

Race 2. RAY TAPIOLAS CLASS B HANDICAP 1000m
SHE’S A SINNER – Refused to jump. Took no part in the event. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer M Purvis was advised the mare is required to trial satisfactorily prior to next race start.
YABULU PRINCESS – Slowly away.
MURUNGAL – Slowly away.
ZAKHEERA - Slowly away.
TATACHILLA – Raced wide in the early and middle stages.
ALBERTESSA – Raced wide for the majority. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
GUMNUTS - Raced wide for the majority.
MISSION HOUSE - Laid in under pressure down the running.

Race 3. KARINGAL PARK QTIS MAIDEN PLATE 1180m
SPILL THE PENNIES – Presented to the parade yard with an incorrect saddlecloth number. Trainer C Morrison and Jockey B Thomson, who both pleaded guilty to a charge under the provisions of AR207(1), were each fined the sum of $100.00. Slowly away. Raced wide for the majority.
HE WILL ACHEEV – Fractious in the parade yard, rearing over backwards and dislodging Jockey G Kliese who declared himself fit to continue. Underwent a Veterinary inspection behind the barriers and was cleared to start. Hung in in the middle stages.
VISTA ORIENTAL – Slowly into stride.
BEST DRESSED – Restrained after laying in onto the heels of another runner near the 1000m.
MISHANI DUDE – Raced wide for the majority.
COOL HARRY - Raced wide for the majority.

Race 4. STARLISTIC SPRINT BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP 1180m
NORWEGIAN WOOD – Raced ungenerously when awkwardly placed in restricted room between runners for the majority of the back straight. Shifted out on straightening inconveniencing a runner to its outside.
LIGHTHORSE LAD – Began awkwardly. Raced ungenerously when awkwardly placed in restricted room between runners for the majority of the back straight. Restrained near the 1000m and again near the 750m.
QUIDNI – Shifted in marginally near the 1000m momentarily tightening a runner to its inside. Quickly straightened. Inconvenienced on straightening.
GIORDANO – Raced wide in the early and middle stages.

Race 5. DROVERS CUP BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP 1830m
LINCOLN FURY – Slowly away.
MUFASTA – Raced wide for the majority.
BATTLE – Raced wide for the majority. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed a haematoma on the nearside shoulder.
