In assessing penalty Stewards took into account the totality of Jockey D’Avila’s whip use in running. Race 1: INGHAM TRAVEL QTIS MAIDEN PLATE 1100m: DEACON BLACK – Began awkwardly losing ground. NEED FINANCE – Slowly away. Inclined to over-race in the early stages. HE’S TERRYFIED – Raced wide without cover in the early and middle stages. MY BOY TICKETS – Raced wide in the middle stages. MIGHTY MEERKAT – Was inclined to lay in under pressure down the running. Race 2: STOKES & COMPANY ACCOUNTANTS BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP 1200m: SERGEANT SHRIVER – Tightened between runners on jumping. Raced wide rounding the home turn. SUNNY CHIEF – Slowly into stride. Raced wide without cover in the early and middle stages. Raced wide rounding the home turn. AWESOME SIGHT - Raced wide without cover in the early and middle stages. Raced wide rounding the home turn. OUR KAPOW - Raced wide rounding the home turn. MOLONGLE CHIEF - Raced wide rounding the home turn. Race 3: ZEST FINANCIAL SOLUTIONS CLASS B HANDICAP 1000m: FLAMIN’ SID – Began awkwardly. SECOND TIME AROUND – Shifted in abruptly when hard-ridden out of the barriers and hampered another runner. Jockey M Kai was reprimanded under the provisions of AR137(a) careless riding. NOVA CHINA – Was hampered on jumping by another runner which shifted in abruptly under hard riding. LITTLE BIT TRASHY – Raced wide in the early and middle stages. MAGNORMOUS – App. Ms. N Nelson reported that the gelding was inclined to hang out approaching the home turn where the saddle shifted placing her at a disadvantage. Race 4: TREBONNE HOTEL BENCHMARK 45 HANDICAP 1400m: The start of this event was delayed whilst MUNJIZ was re-saddled behind the barriers. The start was further delayed whilst DIAMOND RACER was re-saddled with the use of a smaller girth. Trainer Mr E Snelling was reminded of his responsibilities under the provisions of AR140A. No racing incidents. Race 5: CELLARBRATIONS BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP 1600m: PINK STILETTO – Dislodged a hind plate in transit to the race meeting. Stewards permitted the mare to race bare-footed behind. CRACOW – Slowly away. Inclined to lay in under pressure near the 200m, hampering another runner, despite the efforts of Jockey Ms. C Jokic. IRISH HEART – Slowly away after beginning awkwardly. Was hampered near the 200m by another runner which was inclined to lay in under pressure ARNO BAY – Steadied off heels near the 1500m.
