After stewards conducted an inspection of that section of the track along with riders, they were of the belief that their concerns were valid, particularly with Race 7, a 1710m event, which would have raced directly over this part of the track. Stewards considered the possibility of moving the running rail and also shortening the race to 1350m after a majority of trainers confirmed to stewards that they were prepared to race from the 1350m. Stewards, however, were mindful of the significant distance gap if the race was reduced from 1710m to 1350m and therefore, acting in the best interests of all parties, elected to abandon the race after exploring all avenues.STEWARDS RACE DAY SUMMARY Summary of action concerning licenseesReprimandsApp. M.
