RACE 1: BDO QTIS 3YO Maiden SW Plate – 1666m
 
MOBILE – Approaching the 1400m when the pace of the race steadied elected to stride forward to take up a position in the lead near the 1200m.
 
BLOOMERANG – When the pace of the race steadied near the 1400m had to be steadied from heels.  When afforded the opportunity to comment on the performance jockey R. Fradd stated that the gelding was not suited to the slow tempo and when the pace of the race quickened from the 500m the gelding failed to respond and proved disappointing.
 
SIDERO STAR – When the pace of the race steadied was allowed to stride forward to take up a position outside the leader near the 1200m.
 
VENETIAN BEAUTY – Shifted in abruptly under pressure leaving the 100m.
 
SIR PLUCKA – Hampered leaving the 100m.
 
LITTLE BIT NIFTY – After passing the winning post fractured its near fore sesamoid and was subsequently euthanased on humane grounds.
 
 
RACE 2: Manhire & Associates Maiden SW Plate – 800m
 
ONYX LASS – Slow to begin.  Raced wide throughout.
JET SPURRING – Slow to begin.  Raced wide throughout.
 
SINGLE LASS – Slow to begin.
 
GOOD GRACIOUS MAE – Began awkwardly.  Inclined to lay in for a short distance upon entering the home straight.
 
JUSTASAGA – Shifted in abruptly shortly after the start.  Raced greenly throughout.
 
GOLD SEARCH – Had to be checked shortly after the start.
 
KAVALONG – Leaving the 400m had to be steadied when awkwardly placed at heels.
 
 
RACE 3: Investor's Choice Class 4 H’Cap – 1350m
 
The start was delayed when FAICONI cast a near fore plate, was replated and subsequently cleared to start.
 
VOLTAIRE LUMIERE – Began awkwardly.  Following the race jockey R. Wiggins reported to stewards he had some concerns with the gelding's action.  A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have a slow recovery rate. Trainer S. Lee advised stewards that he would have blood tests carried out in the days subsequent to the event and would report any abnormalities back to stewards. 
 
CANNY EXCEL – Began awkwardly and shifted out making contact with LORD COCONUTS.  Lost an off hind plate in running.
 
LAURINOOR – Raced 3 wide without cover for the majority.
 
 
RACE 4: Tonel Holdings Maiden H’Cap – 1200m
 
HARRY'S STAR – Began awkwardly, bumped MOHAKA RIVER and lost ground.
 
MOHAKA RIVER – Began awkwardly.  Jockey L. Dittman reported at scale that the gelding raced greenly throughout and would take benefit from today's race.
 
ROYAL SCRIPT – Bumped heavily near the 900m.  Had to be steadied after improving onto heels over the concluding stages.
 
HE'LL BE RIGHT – Raced wide.  Hung in badly throughout proving difficult to ride and was eased out of the race near the 400m.  A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the off hind leg. Trainer G. Hardy advised that a veterinary certificate would be required prior to the gelding racing again.
 
 
RACE 5: Jim Livingstone Fabrications Class 2 H'Cap – 1666m
 
BROCSON – Slow into stride.
 
MILLIGAN HARP – Leaving the 200m had to be eased when tightened for room.
 
ROCKLEIGH – Jockey R. Wiggins could offer no tangible explanation for the disappointing performance.  A post race veterinary examination of the gelding failed to reveal any abnormalities.
 
HOLMGANG - Jockey T. Harrison could offer no tangible explanation for the disappointing performance.   A post race veterinary examination of the gelding no significant abnormalities at the time of examination. Stewards will interview trainer P. Barron in regards to the gelding's recovery.
 
 
RACE 6: Clayfield Meats Fillies & Mares Class 1 H'Cap – 1350m
 
GREY GLITTER – Began awkwardly.  Following today's disappointing performance trainer D. Roberts reported that the mare would now be retired from racing.
 
SPANISH EYES – Hampered at the start and lost ground.
 
TIMELESS LADY – Cast an off fore plate in running.
 
 
RACE 7: Ipswich City Council Colts, Geldings & Entires Class 1 H'Cap – 1350m
 
FELTON ROAD – Slow to begin.
 
CRUSADER KING – Bumped at the start.
 
GIVE 'EM CURRY – Had to be steadied from heels approaching the 400m.
 
STEERING – Near the 150m was hampered and obliged to alter course to obtain clear running.
 
MONTANA HERO -  Inconvenienced near the 150m.
 
OUR ROCKY – Upon entering the home straight shifted in and bumped BENICO'S PRINCE.
 
RED MAGIC – Raced 3 wide without cover throughout.
 
PROSPECTING – Raced wide throughout.
