QUEENSLANDRACING INTEGRITY COMMISSION STEWARDS REPORT IPSWICH TURF CLUB – WEDNESDAY 2ND FEBRUARY 2022 WEATHER – Overcast TRACK RATING – Good 4 RAIL – True OFFICIALS Chairman of Stewards – J AdamsStewards – P Zimmermann, J Williamson, J MitchellClerk of Scales – G GooldJudge – M Lincoln, C BamfordVeterinarian – G Gavanough, I TrumanSwab Attendants – A Challen, K KilpatrickStarter – C Wallace SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT Doomben 12/1/2022 Race 8: Stewards today concluded an inquiry into the reasons for SUPER ONE SUSIE falling near the 300m and suffering a nearside shoulder injury, which resulted in the mare being euthanised on human grounds. Further evidence was taken from Apprentice Madeleine Wishart in the presence of her Master Kevin Kemp. Apprentice M Wishart was subsequently found guilty of a charge of careless riding under AR131(a) in that as the rider of SUPER ONE SUSIE she rode in a careless manner after passing the 400m when no clear running was available, she rode with vigour in order to increase the temp of her mount when following PRIVATE CHEETAH, which resulted in SUPER ONE SUSIE improving onto the heels of that runner near the 300m, causing SUPER ONE SUSIE to clip the heels of PRIVATE CHEETAH, blunder and fall, causing ALL TOO DO, which was following, to be checked and retired from the event. Apprentice M Wishart’s license to ride in races was suspended for a period of 3 weeks to commence midnight 11/2/2022 and to conclude midnight 4/3/2022. GENERAL Race 1: TAB VENUE MODE Maiden Plate 1350 metres Constructionmaster – Began awkwardly and lost ground. Altered course to secure clear running when rounding the home turn. Doctor Jack – Change of tactics, to be ridden in the lead if circumstances permit. Ridden accordingly. Enjouee (FR) – Began awkwardly. Kowloon Gem – Inconvenienced near the 300m. Cee Eye Cee – Checked near the 300m. Andrew Spinks, the rider of CONSTRUCTIONMASTER, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under AR131(a) in that he allowed his mount to shift out near the 300m when not sufficiently clear of CEE EYE CEE causing that horse to be checked. Jockey Spinks license to ride in races was suspended for a period of 8 days to commence midnight 11/2/22 until midnight 19/2/22 Tuscan Belle – Began awkwardly and lost ground. Race 2: GREAT NORTHERN Maiden Plate 1100 metres This event was delayed due to storm activity in the area.
