QUEENSLANDRACING INTEGRITY COMMISSION STEWARDS REPORT IPSWICH TURF CLUB IPSWICH – WEDNESDAY 20 JULY 2022 WEATHER – OVERCAST TRACK RATING – SOFT 5 RAIL – 8M PENETROMETER – 5.3 OFFICIALS Chairman of Stewards – P Zimmermann Stewards – G Goold, R Hitchener, P KennedyClerk of Scales – C SimpsonVeterinarian – Dr N Gaskall Swab Attendants – K Kilpatrick, L Barbosko Starter – C Wallace GENERAL Upon arrival at the track, Stewards inspected the racing surface and immediately raised concerns with a section of the track between the 1550m and 1400m. As a consequence, Stewards requested a delegation of Senior riders accompany Stewards to undertake a secondary examination of racing surface. Following this inspection, it was determined that this section of track was unsuitable for racing, and therefore the decision was made that the meeting would be unable to proceed. Consequently, the meeting was called off at 11:50am The matters contained within this Stewards report may be subject to an internal or external review. The outcome of any internal review is published on the Commission’s website immediately after the release of the internal review decision to the Applicant. External reviews are managed by QCAT and are not published on the Commission’s website. This report and the Stewards Comments for this meeting may be amended at any time, at the sole discretion of the Queensland Racing Integrity Commission (QRIC) Stewards as races are reviewed.
