Race 1: O’DELL PLUMBING & GOLDEN WEST HOTLE CLASS 6 PLATE - 1000 metres
 
 
HIDDEN CHIEF was a late scratching at 12:30pm as there were no available jockeys.
 
COWARDOFTHECOUNTY slipped and fell in the mounting yard, dislodging jockey R. Hancock who sustained an injury to his lower leg but was cleared to ride. Upon returning to scale COWARDOFTHECOUNTY was lame in a front leg and treated on course. Trainer R. Hermann was advised a vet clearance would be required prior to racing again.
 
BUDDY ROCKS – Hampered at start by inside runner.
 
STYLISH SON – Jumped outwards contacting and outside runner.
 
MONTH OF SUNDAYS – Travelled wide for the majority with cover.
 
ARTANIS – Travelled wide for the majority with no cover.
 
FINNIGAN’S FOLLY – Held up for clear running down the home straight.
 
Race 2: GP CATTLE COMPANY QTIS MAIDEN PLATE - 1000 metres 
 
IMPLICATE – Slow into stride
 
TYCOON MED – Jumped away awkwardly and hung out for the majority.
 
MISTRESS OF MONEY – Hung  the entire event.
 
ROCK ON SKYE – Travelled wide in the early stages.
 
ZEPHER GIRL – Raced ungenerously throughout.
 
 
Race 3: LONGREACH REGIONAL COUNCIL CLASS B HANDICAP - 1200 metres  
 
ARMANI PRINCE – Reared in the mounting yard dislodging jockey D. Reward who was uninjured and fine to continue riding.
 
MATILDA MISS was a late scratching at 2:49pm, for refusing to load. Deductions were announced with correct weight after the running of race three. Deductions were 20cents in the dollar of wins bets and 21 cents in the dollar of place bets. Trainer B. Dixon was advised the mare would be required to pass a barrier trail prior to starting again.
 
SUGAR LANE – Travelled wide for the majority of the event.
 
LOCA DA VIDA – Travelled wide for the majority.
 
Race 4: ISIS DOWNS CPC BM 55 HANDICAP - 1400 metres  
 
ICE MELODY was a late scratching at 2:30pm as there were no riders available.
 
SHOW US A SMILE – Slow into stride and travelled wide in the middle and late stages.
 
JESSE’N’JAMES – Fractious in the barriers and reared as the gates opened losing considerable ground.
 
Race 5: RJ&PG CAROLAN PAINTING/RAYWHITE L’REACH ROSS CUP OPEN HANDICAP - 1400 metres      
 
CONQUISTADOR – Showed no early speed.
