Raced wide rounding the 800 metre turn. Trainer Mr W. Crossland was advised that the gelding must successfully complete a barrier trial before again starting in a race. CRYSTAL COURT – Raced wide for the entirety. SUBOSAMI – Raced wide rounding the home turn.Race 2: ELROSE PLANT HIRE CLASS 3 PLATE 1100 Metres:1st – MAHONGA 2nd – TARA IRONWOOD 3rd – TUNING 4th – HONEY CAT FOLLOW THE DREAM – Slow into stride and raced wide rounding the 800 metre turn. MAHONGA – Shifted out and raced wide rounding the home turn and then raced very wide down the straight.TARA IRONWOOD - Raced wide rounding the home turn.GUST OF POWER – Bled from both nostrils in running. Trainer Ms S Gabriel-Royes was advised that as this was the mare’s second bleeding attack, under the provisions of AR 53A(5), she is now ineligible again to start in any race. Race 3: RYDERS OPEN HANDICAP 1100 Metres:1st – FIVE O’CLOCK 2nd – TRAVEL IN STYLE 3rd – COURT ACTION 4th – FOREWARNEDSTAR TRUCE – was a late scratching at 12.50pm by order of Stewards acting on veterinary advice after the gelding was found to be sore in the off side front hoof.FOREWARNED – Hung out rounding the home turn.Race 4: JULIA CREEK TURF CLUB QTIS MAIDEN PLATE 1200 Metres: 1st – POTHOLES 2nd – PURFLEET PRINCESS 3rd – LUCKY APACHE 4th – ENTRADASENTRADAS – The start was delayed when the bridle broke and had to be replaced when the filly was being loaded into barriers. POTHOLES – Jumped outwards bumping another runner.MADE TO WIN – Was reluctant to load into the barriers. Tightened for room between runners on jumping away.LUCKY APACHE - Bumped by another runner on jumping. Raced wide rounding the home turn. VEGANER – Raced wide for the entirety.Race 5: JULIA CREEK TURF CLUB CLASS B HANDICAP 1350 Metres:1st – CARRY TO GOLD 2nd – AKHEILOS 3rd – DASHING DUB 4th – STAR ODYSSEYMISS BEAUJOLAIS – Was a late scratching as no suitable rider was available. STAR ODYSSEY – Threw head in air on jumping losing ground. FIRST PAIGE – Came together with another runner on jumping and then raced wide for the entirety. Approaching the 1250 metres was taken wider on the track by another runner. After what appeared to be a disappointing performance a post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare had lost both hind shoes and sustained an injury to the near side hind fetlock. Trainer Mr K Krogh was advised a veterinary certificate of fitness would be required prior to racing again.HOUSE RULES – Came together with another runner on jumping.Race 6: JULIA CREEK TURF CLUB BENCH MARK 65 HANDICAP 1350 Metres:1st – HE’S A MAGICIAN 2nd – SNAZZY SOX 3rd – FRISCO JOURNEY 4th – MINTAROLEGALLY COOL – Was leaning on the outside barrier partition as the start was effected. Jumped awkwardly throwing its head in the air. Apprentice N Nelson reported she was struck in the face by the action of her mount causing her to lose considerable ground. FRISCO JOURNEY - Raced wide most of the way. AZUSA – Raced wide rounding the home turn. MINTARO - Raced wide rounding the home turn.Race 7: JULIA CREEK TURF CLUB CUP OPEN HANDICAP 1350 Metres:1st – WHAT THE HECK 2nd – AVALANCHES 3rd – DIURNAL TIGER 4th – ISLE BE READYROMANTICIZE - Was a late scratching at 2.30pm by order of Stewards acting on veterinary advice after the gelding was found to have a nasal discharge and increased lung sounds. Trainer Mr K Krogh was advised a veterinary certificate of fitness would be required prior to the gelding again starting in a race.KAYAN – Marginally slow to go and raced wide rounding the home turn.
