Race 1: WESTERN STAR HOTEL/PT BACKHOE HIRE/L’REACH RSL/WATTS CATERING BM 60 HANDICAP - 1000 metres
 
RHYTHM NATION, COOLBIE and ZAHA DREAM were all late scratchings as there were no jockeys available.
 
Jockey J. Lait was the rider of EQUAL RULER.
 
EQUAL RULER was a late scratching at 1.38pm on veterinary advice when the mare lashed out in the barriers on a number of occasions. Trainer C. Austin was advised a veterinary clearance would be required prior to the mare’s next start.
 
NO OTHER WAY – Slow into stride, travelled wide in the early and middle stages of the race and hung out rounding the home turn
 
WICKED WOODY – Held up for clear running in the home straight.
 
JESSE’N’JAMES – Travelled wide for the majority.
 
Race 2: GRAHAM (HILLY) MAUNSELL MEMORIAL QTIS MAIDEN PLATE - 1000 metres 
 
NOBODY’S FOOL and THAT’S CORRECT were both scratching as there were no jockeys available.
 
Jockey C. Dixon was the rider of WINDSOR CASTLE and permitted to ride 2kg overweight as there were no other available jockeys.
 
Jockey S. McGovern was the rider of MISTRESS OF MONEY and permitted to ride 2.5kg overweight as there were no other riders available.
 
WINDSOR CASTLE – Showed no early speed.
 
SWANKY MANEUVER – Slow into stride and tended to hang for the majority.
 
Race 3: BRAIDWOOD STATION CLASS B HANDICAP - 1200 metres  
 
CHANDELIER LASS and BURJ AL were both scratchings as there were no jockeys available.
 
POWER BUTTON – Slow into stride, then bounded shortly after the start as the gelding took offence to the kickback.
 
O’BEHAVE – Travelled wide in the middle and late stages.
 
SUGAR LANE – Shifted in at the point of the home turn hampering an inside runner momentarily
 
LOCA DA VIDA – Saddle slipped on jumping and the mare took no competitive part in the event.
 
MYBOYOLIVER – Hindered by an outside runner at the top of the straight.
 
ARMANI PRINCE – Slow to begin.
 
 
Race 4: SNOW & MARY HALL MEMORIAL  BM 55 HANDICAP - 1400 metres  
 
 
STRIKE ZONE and COWARDOFTHECOUNTY were scratching as there were no jockeys available.
 
 MEZZNOTTE – Slow to begin and travelled wide in the early and middle stages.
 
CHOCLATE BOLT – Slow to begin and travelled wide in the middle and late stages.
 
Race 5: BARCOO SHIRE COUNCIL JUNDAH CUP OPEN HANDICAP - 1400 metres      
 
NEPTUNE EXPRESS – Slow to begin.
 
BASHAN – Travelled wide in the early stages.
 
HARD LIQUOR – Slow into stride and travelled wide. Down the home straight the gelding sustained an injury to the off fore leg and was eased. Upon veterinary inspection the horse had ruptured a suspensory flexor and was humanly euthanized.
 
The winner of this race was not swabbed as the vet was required to attend to the injured horse.
