Race 1: WATTS CATERING MAIDEN PLATE - 1000 metres

ACCEPTING – Slow to begin.

WINDSOR CASTLE – Jumped inwards and bucked shortly after the start. Trainer B. Dixon was advised that the mare would be required to pass a barrier trial to steward’s satisfaction prior to the mare racing again.

YARD GLASS – Fractious in barrier prior to start being effected then bounded out as the gates opened then travelled wide in the middle and late stages of the event.

ACCEPTING – Jockey G.Leung was cautioned on his use of the whip down the home straight.


Race 2: BROWNES SMASH REPAIRS BM 55 HANDICAP - 1000 metres

INSTINCTIVE MOVE, ZAHA DREAM and BERNIN LOOSE were all late scratching at 12:30pm as there were no jockeys available.

DIAMONEEZE – Slow to begin then hung out resenting the kick back. Travelled wide in the middle and late stages to avoid the kickback.

SKY DISK – Slow to begin.

CAST OUT – Travelled wide for the majority of the event.

Race 3: ANDERSON & HARRIS BOOKMAKERS CLASS B HANDICAP - 1200 metres

DANCE TO INSPIRE was a late scratching at 12:30pm as there were no available jockeys.

READY FOR ROYALTY – Slow to begin and shifted in down the home straight.

MIGHTY SAVANNAH – Slow to begin.

DIAMOND RUSH – Jockey B.Thomson was cautioned on her use of the whip down the home straight.

Race 4: THURECHT BROS. SADDLERY BM 60 HANDICAP - 1300 metres

ARTANIS and COWARDOFTHECOUNTY were late scratching at 12:30pm as there were no jockeys available.

KEV’S DESTINY – Hung out rounding the first turn carting outside runners further out on the track. Trainer C.Prow was advised that the gelding would have to undergo a 1000m barrier trial with 2 other horses to steward’s satisfactions prior to racing again.

DOMINANT PLAY – Had to be eased when KEV”S DESTINY hung out rounding the first turn, taking his galloping room.

MONTH OF SINDAYS – Was hindered on the first turn when inside runners were carted wider.

Race 5: ARTHUR MOODY MEMORIAL/INVERGARRY EQUINE CENTRE OPEN HANDICAP - 1400 metres

Jockey C.Dixon was permitted to ride SPIRIT OF MANY 4kg overweight as there were no other jockeys available.

LEO’S SPIRIT – Slow to begin.

NEPTUNE EXPRESS – Eased at the 500m when BUTHER BOY tightened him for room.

BUTHER BOY- Put NEPTURE EXPRESS in restricted racing room at the 500m.

HELLUVA HURRY – Was eased at the 400m when LEO’S SPIRIT shifted ground.

LEO’S SPIRIT – Shifted in at the top of the straight causing HELLUVA HURRY to be eased and change course. Jockey D.McMaster was cautioned and reminded of her obligations when shifting ground.
