Race 1: BARKERS NEWSAGENCY BM 60 HANDICAP - 1600 metres

BUTCHER BOY – Travelled wide in the middle and late stages and shifted in down the home straight and had to be straightened on several occasions. On returning to scale the gelding was extremely lame in the off foreleg. A post-race veterinary inspection suspected ligament damage and was treated on course. Trainer P. O’Toole was advised the gelding would require a veterinary clearance prior to racing again.

KOMODO – Travelled wide in the early and middle stages of the event.

REIGNING TO WIN – Raced ungenerously throughout.

Race 2: CORNETTS IGA CLASS 2 HANDICAP - 1200 metres

ARTANIS – Travelled wide for the majority of the event.

BONTEMPELLI – Slow to begin.

SHAFTSMAN – Jumped away awkwardly and slow.

LARABEE – Approaching the 900m lost position in race and was eased as an inside runner shifted ground.

YUM SING – failed to handle the first turn hampering runner to outside which lost its rightful position in the race. Trainer G. Browne was advised and requested to see an improvement in the gelding next start. Jockey J. Lait was warned regarding his whip use down the home straight.

Race 3: LJC THANKS LONGREACH COMMUNITY MAIDEN PLATE - 1100 metres

GIVE US A CALL – Knuckled at the start causing the gelding to be slow into stride and then travelled wide for the majority.

YARD GLASS – Jumped outwards making contact with NOBODY’S FOOL.

BURJ AL – Jumped outwards making heavy contact with ACCEPTING and over raced in the early stages.

Race 4: CORNETTS IGA OPEN PLATE - 1100 metres

POWERFUL JET was scratched as there were no jockeys available.

HARD LIQUOR – Slow to begin.

Race 5: LJC THANKS LONGREACH COMMUNITY BM 45 HANDICAP - 1000 metres

ROYAL ILLUSION – Slow to begin.

TENMOREGRAND – Travelled wide for the majority of the event.
