Race 1: CARDOME PASTORAL COMPANY CLASS B HANDICAP - 1000 metres

SWEENEY – Travelled with for the majority without cover.


Race 2: MERCURY BUSINESS SUPPLIERS MAIDEN PLATE - 1200 metres

SWANKY MANEUVER – Was a late scratching at 1.05pm on veterinary advice. Trainer B. Dixon was advised a veterinary certificate of soundness would be required prior to the mare racing again.

LOCA DA VIDA – Slow into stride.

WINDSOR CASTLE – Rider lost stirrup on jumping and then regained losing momentum momentarily.


Race 3: AMALGAMATED PEST CONTROL BM 55 HANDICAP - 1200 metres

BUDDY ROCKS, BILLY JAY and FINNIGAN’S FOLLY were all late scratching as there were no jockeys available.

CONQUISTADOR – Slow into stride and then held up for clear running in the straight..

BONTEMPELLI – Slow to begin.


Race 4: PRO TYRES OPEN HANDICAP - 1200 metres

Jockey C. Bryen was permitted to ride 1kg overweight on Strategic Weapon but was fined the sum of $200 under AR 120 (b).

PEACE TALKS – Stood in barriers and lost considerable ground.

SPIRIT OF MANY – Travelled wide for the majority of the event.


Race 5: 4L6/WEST FM BM 65 HANDICAP - 1400 metres

MONTH OF SUNDAYS and SPURSYN were late scratching as there were no available jockeys.

Jockey C. Bryen was permitted by stewards to ride 1kg overweight on SKY DISK but was further fined the sum of $100 under AR 120 (b).

ARMANI PRINCE – Jumped away awkwardly losing considerable ground.

SPURRED UP – Slow to begin.

WICKED WOODY – Lay in over the concluding stages of the event.
