Race 1: JULIE WATT ADVANCED SKIN CARE TREATMENT OPEN HANDICAP 1000M

LIEUTENANT – Jumped awkwardly, as a result was slow into stride.
 
HEYINGTON STATION - Jumped awkwardly making contact with the barrier partition, as a result was slow to begin.
 
MUSIC AWARD – Raced three wide with cover.
 
ZUKAZ – Raced wide throughout.
 
Race 2: KIM & TIM TRAD BENCHMARK 50 HANDICAP 1000M
 
DESIGNED TO RUN – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination at the barriers after being kicked by another runner in the saddling enclosure and was cleared to start.
 
FREDDIE EDDIE – Jumped awkwardly. Shifted out under pressure in the home straight.
 
CHIEF MONDO – Slow to begin.
 
OAKLEIGH – Very slow to begin. Trainer P O’Toole advised that a warning would be placed on the geldings barrier manners. Trainer P O’Toole advised that he only just aquired the gelding and he will be experimenting with gear changes.
 
TO THE WORLD – Jumped awkwardly, making contact with the barrier partition and was slow into stride.
 
HOT ROD JACK – Shifted wider at the 200m when held up for clear running.
 
AIRIT – Inconvenienced at the 200m when FREDDIE EDDIE shifted out. Apprentice T Orr the rider of FREDDIE EDDIE was reminded of his obligations to stop and straighten his mount in similar circumstances.
 
Race 3: IBIS STREET ELECTRICAL QTIS MAIDEN 1100M
 
SHOALWATER BAY – Slow to begin. Shifted 3 wide approaching the 700m to obtain clear running.
 
Race 4: KINSEY’S LONGREACH SERVICE CENTRE BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP 1300M
 
GALACTIC EXPRESS – Bumped on jumping. Raced wide throughout.
 
ZOROSSA – Shifted in on jumping bumping GALACTIC EXPRESS. Raced wide throughout. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
BEYOND STAR (NZ) – Raced wide throughout.
 
KING DICK – Raced wide throughout.
 
PREFERRAL (NZ) – Jumped awkwardly and was slow to begin. Passing the 1000m was restrained off heels when over-racing.
 
RED ZORRO – On returning to scale jockey E Bell stated the gelding’s action felt awkward from the 800m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities. Trainer C Austin will advise stewards should anything become apparent regarding the gelding’s condition in the coming days.
 
DISPUTE – Raced wide throughout.
 
Race 5:FLOORED BY RAMSAY BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP 1600M
 
Race was delayed due to LASTING PROMISE being difficult to load. Trainer R Hermann was advised a warning would be placed on the gelding.
 
SOLE HEIR – Raced wide throughout.
 
CHECKERS (NZ) – Raced wide throughout.
 
ENTERPRISE GRAND – Raced wide throughout.
 
FLOP TURN RIVER – Over-raced in the early stages.
 
HERE HE LOOMS – Shifted wider rounding the home turn to obtain clear racing room.
