QUEENSLANDRACING INTEGRITY COMMISSION STEWARDS REPORT MORANBAH CLUB SATURDAY 6 NOVEMBER 2021 WEATHER – Fine TRACK RATING – Good RAIL – True OFFICIALS Chairman of Stewards – C AllisonStewards – E SuliClerk of Scales – StewardsJudge – S BryantVeterinarian – Dr A HeilbornnStarter – P Conway SUPPLEMENTARY REPORTMACKAY Race 5 2nd November 2021Trainer J Manzelmann advised WATCH LIST (NZ) had pulled up well following its disappointing effort at Mackay and he confirmed he had made gear changes to the mare and she was racing over a reduced distance today. GENERALAll horses which had raced within the previous seven days were inspected by the on-course veterinarian and cleared to race. Race 1: SURELFT CRAINE HIRE QTIS MAIDEN PLATE 1000 metres MILKY ROCKET – Slow to begin. Apprentice rider C Collis was reminded of his obligations to ensure he fully rides his mount out to the finish line. FINAL CRIME – Slow to begin and raced wide throughout. MADONNA FALLS (NZ) – Reared at the jump and was slow to begin as a result. Raced wide throughout. ONE LAST TIME – When questioned regarding the performance rider B Richardson advised the filly hung inwards throughout which contributed to its disappointing effort. Race 2: QUARRICO CLASS B HANDICAP 1000 metres PLUCKERCARN – Had to shift outwards approaching the 150m when becoming awkwardly placed on the heels of HAN DYNASTY. Trainer T Clive advised the gelding cast an off-hind plate during the running. WATCH LIST (NZ) – Shifted outwards shortly after the start. Raced wide throughout. Apprentice rider A Donald reported the mare was disappointing with trainer J Manzelmann advising the Stewards WATCH LIST would no longer be persevered with from his stable. TATEYAMA – Slow to begin. Race 3: DYNO NOBEL BENCHMARK 45 HANDICAP 1170 metres ZEBLAN – Jumped away awkwardly and was slow as a result. Rider B Appo reported to Stewards he received a chipped tooth from a rogue stone during the race. SHE’S OUR EMPRESS – Rider E Bell advised after jumping well the mare resented the kick back and gradually gave ground over the early and middle stages. MBAPPE – Raced wide throughout. DUTCH ROCKET – Shifted outwards at the start. Race 4: BLACK NUGGET RATINGS BAND 0 – 55 HANDICAP 1400 metres GETOUT OF MY NEIGH (NZ) – Raced wide throughout. INDIAN DANCER – Slow to begin. Made the bends awkwardly with apprentice C Collis advising the gelding laid outwards throughout. SASANQUAS – Fractious prior to the start and begun awkwardly losing ground. TAKEN ON CHANCE – Raced wide middle stages. CHLOE JADE – Raced wide throughout. Race 5: ISAAC REGIONAL COUNCIL AND MINERS MEMORIAL COUNTRY CUPS CHALLENGE QUALIFIER MORANBAH CUP OPEN HANDICAP 1550 metres AMMOUDI BAY – Slow to begin. Raced wide throughout. Laid outwards in the home straight. MASON’S CHANCE – When questioned regarding the disappointing performance rider B Richardson advised MASON’S CHANCE did not handle the sand conditions. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. KEDLESTON – Slow to begin. Raced wide with cover early and middle stages. ANCIENT ECHOES – Rider J Felix was fined $200 for weighing more than .5kg of the weight he weighed out at pursuant to AR211(1). GEOFFROY – Raced wide early and middle stages. SHIRAISHI – Was slow to begin and raced wide with cover early stages. When questioned regarding the disappointing performance Apprentice rider T Fenlon advised the mare objected to the kickback. Trainer G Bell confirmed she would be sending her for a spell after a lengthy campaign.
