RACE 1: PAYNE PRINT MAIDEN HANDICAP 1560m
ACELA – Jockey M Abe was permitted to ride 2kg overweight due to no other riders being available and was later fined $100 pursuant to rule AR120 (b). M Abe also fine $200 under rule AR145 for weighing in in excess of half a kilogram.
MORE THAN KALOOKAN - raced wide before receiving cover near the 1000m.
MAGIC WELLS – Jockey reported that she dropped her whip near the 200m. Also that the blinkers shifted in running which may have placed MAGIC WELS at a disadvantage.
REAL LUCKY – Hung in over the final 300m
CELESTIAL JEWEL – Held up for clear running between the 550m and the 400m.
 
RACE 2: CHANNEL SEVEN MAIDEN PLATE 1050m
AL MAH ROCKET – Jumped awkwardly and tightened between runners shortly after.
BUD RICKS – Tightened between runners after jumping and lost ground.
GRAPHITE JOE – Hung out entering the home straight.
RACE 3: TOX FREE BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP 1050m
BELLA SASH – Reared as the gates released and lost considerable ground.
LINE BREAKER – Began slowly.
RACE 4: SMART STATE VEHICLE RENTALS CLASS 6 PLATE 1050m
ROSIE’S SON – Eased from heels shortly after jumping.
ARTIBAI – Jockey reported it failed to stretch out at any stage and was not competitive. ARTIBAI underwent a post -race veterinary examination which failed to reveal any apparent abnormalities. Connections were advised that due to today’s poor performance ARTIBAI would be required to trial satisfactorily.
SABA LASS – Jockey reported it failed to stretch out at any stage and was not competitive. SABA LASS underwent a post -race veterinary examination which revealed mild lameness in its right fore. Connections were advised that a veterinary clearance would be required and SABA LASS will also be required to trial satisfactorily before racing.
HILLCREST – Completed the event wearing Muffs and Pacifiers, which should have been removed prior to the start.
RACE 5: MCDONALD MURPHY MACHINERY BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP 1800m
COLLYWOBBLE – Ran wide near the 1300m and inconvenienced another runner.
ANOTHER LISTING – Forced wider by another runner near the 1300m.
