Race 1: THE MTC VOLUNTEERS MAIDEN PLATE – 1123 Metres
 
MUMMIFICATION – Slow to begin.
 
BOOM SEE – Slow to begin. Raced three wide without cover for the majority of the race.
 
RIVALON – Slow to begin. Raced wide rounding the home turn.
 
PUTERE – Began awkwardly. Raced greenly under pressure in the home straight.

Race 2: MAREEBA TURF CLUB STEPPING UP QTIS BENCHMARK 50 HANDICAP – 1123

BELLA'S IN COMMAND –As the mare had not raced for an extended period it underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was cleared to start.
 
TAORMINA RHYTHM – Rider I. Teh was dislodged on mounting up, examined by the QAS officers and cleared to fulfil her riding engagement. Began awkwardly.
 
ENUFF ROSES – Raced ungenerously in the middle stages. Raced wide rounding the home turn.

BOHEMIAN FLYER –Raced three wide without cover for the majority of the race.
 
Race 3: MAREEBA TRADIES DAY IN 2 WEEKS BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP – 1210

SIDE HUSTLE – Was slightly hampered on jumping after brushing a barrier attendant who had not fully exited the horse’s barrier. This matter was brought forward to the starters attention.
 
ACCTORIES – Slow to begin.

HIT SNOOZE – Slow to begin. Over-raced in the middle stages.
 
BORLOTTI BEANS – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
Correct weight was delayed allowing apprentice jockeys, T. Leslight (SIDE HUSTLE)
represented by trainer Ms S. Hoffman and apprentice jockey C. Lowe (HIT SNOOZE)
represented by senior jockey L. Morrison to view the steward’s film to ascertain if they had
been afforded a fair start. After viewing of the available footage they did not wish to proceed
and correct weight was declared on the judge’s semaphored numbers.  

Race 4: GREGG CONSTRUCTIONS PTY LTD MAGIC MILLIONS/ROB KOCH
MEMORIAL/FNQ UP & COMING STAYERS BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP – 1800 Metres
 
GAELIC – Threw its head in the air on jumping and lost ground.
 
HEAVENLY HILLIE – Commenced to over-racerounding the turn out of the straight on the first occasion and shifted out forcing PROSPETTIVA wider. Raced wide in the early and middle stages.

PROSPETTIVA (NZ) – Forced wider rounding the turn out of the straight on the first occasion before improving forward to race in a forward position.

SHADOW ECLIPSE – Raced wide in the early stages of the race.
