General
All horses which raced on Friday 03rd June 2016 were inspected by the Club’s veterinarian and passed fit to start.

Race 1: Benchmark 60 Handicap 900 metres:
1st – I’M DESPERATE TOO 2nd – MOSSALE 3rd – SETH 4th – EXCEEDED

Jockey R Hancock was permitted as the substitute rider of GENERAL WEB when Jockey T Chambers was engaged due to a miscommunication.

RED KISSES was a late scratching at 1.10pm after the mare became fractious in the barriers, reared over and became cast. All horses were removed from the barriers and ordered to return to the parade area whilst Apprentice Laffin underwent treatment by the Ambulance Officers. WORLD OF PAIN was also a late scratching at 1.40pm on veterinary advice after returning to the parade area. When correct weight was declared it was ordered that all bets placed on RED KISSES and WORLD OF PAIN be refunded in full and all other successful bets made on the race prior to 1.10pm be subject to the following deductions of 49c win and 37c place on the face value of the betting ticket. All bets placed after 1.10pm and prior to 1.40pm be subject to deductions of 37c win and 31c place on the face value of the betting ticket. Trainer Mr C Browne was advised a Veterinary Certificate of fitness would be required prior to RED KISSES again starting in a race. Trainer Mr P Miller was also advised a Veterinary Certificate of fitness would be required prior to WORLD OF PAIN again starting in a race. Apprentice H Laffin was transported to hospital for further assessment.

Prior to the declaration of Correct Weight Jockey T Hill requested to review the available patrol footage. After doing so he was satisfied and Correct Weight was declared on the judge’s placings.

GENERAL WEB – Bumped at the start.

LET IT SNOW – Bumped at the start.

MOSSALE – Began awkwardly after the barrier gate sprung back and struck the gelding.

EXCEEDED – Passing the 200 metres was held up for clear running.

I’M DESPERATE TOO – Raced wide without cover for the entirety.

Race 2: QTIS Maiden Plate 1000 metres:
1st – BUGSY MALONE 2nd – LUCKY APACHE 3rd – JUST PRETENDS 4th – LACH’S POCKET

LUCKY APACHE – Slow into stride.

CASINO DREAMZ – Slow into stride.

ON A ZEPHYR – Began awkwardly. Raced ungenerously for a short distance after the start.

BUGSY MALONE – Raced greenly in the early stages.

Race 3: Class 1 Handicap 1200 metres:
1st – NICABELLE 2nd – AZUSA 3rd – SUBOSAMI 4th – HONEY CAT

SHE’S A UNIT – Slow away after beginning awkwardly.

NICABELLE – Raced wide without cover for the entirety.

SUBOSAMI – Upon return to scale Jockey T Brummell reported the mare had to be ridden along in the early stages as it was reluctant to hold its position between runners.

Race 4: Class 6 Plate 1200 metres:
1st – TRAVEL IN STYLE 2nd – FOREWARNED 3rd – EXTRA 4th – SHOW US THE WAY

EXTRA – Slow to begin.

Race 5: Class B Handicap 1450 metres:
1st – FRISCO JOURNEY 2nd – AKHEILOS 3rd – STAR ODYSSEY 4th – HOUSE RULES

WOOBINDA KEEPEA – Bumped at the start.

DASHING DUB – Bumped at the start.

STAR ODYSSEY – Raced wide without cover.

MISS BEAUJOLAIS – Raced wide without cover.

Race 6: Mount Isa Cup Open Handicap 1800 metres:
1st – MR PEPPERS 2nd – REVEL IN THE CHAOS 3rd – NEW EMPIRE 4th – REQUIREMENT

KOMODO – was a late withdrawal at 1.40pm after Apprentice H Laffin was transported to hospital for treatment and no other rider was available.

SNAZZY SOX – Raced wide without cover in the early stages.

NEW EMPIRE – Raced wide without cover throughout.

MR PEPPERS – Inclined to lay in over the concluding stages.
