Rider replacements were made as per the Stewards Race Day Summary.Race 1: CNW Working With The Isa Benchmark 70 Handicap 1450 metres:1st – FRISCO JOURNEY 2nd – MAHONGA 3rd – MR PEPPERS 4th – ISLE BE READYMAHONGA – Stewards permitted the replacement of Jockey M Hart by Jockey T Hill when he was mistakenly engaged due to a miscommunication.MINTARO – Jockey T Chambers was fined $100 under AR137(a) for striking her mount on 9 occasions prior to the 100 metres, 4 more times than permissible under the rule.Race 2: CNW The Proud Aussie Benchmark 50 Handicap 900 metres:1st – WORLD OF PAIN 2nd – APERTURE 3rd – STAR TRUCE 4th – SETHFLAMINGO ROSE was a late withdrawal by order of Stewards at 8.50am when the mare was unable to be loaded onto the float and transported.KELCHEZ was a late withdrawal at 11.45am when no suitable rider was available.TUNING was a late withdrawal at 2.20pm on veterinary advice when the gelding underwent a veterinary examination en route to the barriers and was found to be lame in the near foreleg. When correct weight was declared it was ordered that all bets placed on TUNING be refunded in full and all other successful bets made on the race prior to 2.20pm be subject to the following deductions of 5c win and 7c place on the face value of the betting ticket. Stable Representative Mr J Esser was advised a veterinary certificate of fitness would be required prior to the gelding being permitted to again start in a race.DEFINITELY BAY - Stewards permitted the replacement of Jockey A Badger by Jockey K Ballard when Jockey Badger was unable to attend due to personal reasons.WORLD OF PAIN – Difficult to load into the barriers.PERFECT YANK – Jockey M Hart reported that after being crossed near the 450 metres his mount became unbalanced and commenced to race ungenerously for a short distance.Race 3: CNW Our Gold Sponsors Open Handicap 1000 metres:1st – FIVE O’CLOCK 2nd – TRAVEL IN STYLE 3rd – ALBERTIQUE 4th – CARRY MECARRY ME – Upon return to scale Jockey A Spradau reported that after being crossed near the 600 metres his mount resented the kickback and put in a number of awkward strides.Race 4: Bill Braden Memorial Maiden Plate 1200 metres: 1st – PURRFLEET PRINCESS 2nd – TIME AND CHANCE 3rd – LUCKY APACHE 4th – MESSINES ROSEENTRADAS – Bumped at the start.LUCKY APACHE – Bumped at the start. TIME AND CHANCE – Raced wide without cover throughout.Race 5: CNW The Leading Independent QTIS Class 2 Handicap 1200 metres:1st – DUKE’S DELIGHT 2nd – DREAMWARD BOUND 3rd – GOOD MOOD 4th – AZUSASERENE ROCKET was a late withdrawal at 2pm when no suitable rider was available.OMEGA – Slow into stride.BUGSY MALONE – Stumbled as the gates opened.GOOD MOOD – Began very awkwardly unbalancing its rider, shifted out and made heavy contact with another runner.SWITCH POINT – Bumped heavily at the start and then crowded for room shortly after.AZUSA – Raced wide with without cover throughout.CRAIGLEA SWIFT – When questioned regarding her mounts somewhat disappointing performance today Apprentice T Tincknell said after beginning well and travelling comfortably, when the mare rounded the back turn near the 600 metres it commenced to race very greenly and did so for the remainder of the event.
