Race 1: COATES HIRE Maiden Plate (1100m)
 
WHITSUNDAY STAR – Raced wide for the majority
 
DALBERGIA – Raced wide for the majority
 
TORA SUMI – Jockey J Hoopert reported that the mare resented the kickback in the early and middle stages.
 
 
 
Race 2: STEEJO PRESS BENCHMARK 50 Handicap (1000m)
 
SHIVKHANI – Slow into stride. Raced wide in the middle stages and home turn.
 
ALL ABOUT ME – Raced wide for the majority.
 
WALLACH – Proved difficult to load. Began awkwardly. Trainer Ms S Royes was advised a warning would be placed on the gelding barriers manners.
 
Declaration of correct weight was delayed to allow Jockey J Babarovich, rider of 2nd place getter CACTOBLASTIS, to view the photo finish. After doing so Jockey Babarovich was satisfied with the Judge’s  decision  and correct weight  was declared on the Judges  numbers.
 
 
 
Race 3: CAVA CONTRACTING COUNTRY STAMPEDE QUALIFIER OPEN Handicap (1000m)
 
MR TINDALL – Raced wide for the majority.
 
CATO – Raced wide for the majority. Laid in when placed under pressure in the home straight proving difficult to ride out.
 
 
 
Race 4: COUNTRY CUPS CHALLENGE QUALIFIER/SPRING CUP OPEN Handicap(1450m)
 
IMMUTABLE – Slow to begin and raced wide for the majority.
 
DUKES COUNTY – Bumped with another runner on jumping. Raced wide in the middle stages and home turn.
 
GRAND SYMPHONY – Bumped with another runner on jumping.
 
LOUD ENOUGH – Raced wide in the middle stages and home turn.
 
BREAKDANCE – Raced wide for the majority
 
 
 
Race 5: CAVA LORD DERBY STAKES QTIS Class 3 Plate (1200m)
 
SOVIET – Slow to begin. Raced wide in the early stages.
 
RED RED ROSE – Raced wide rounding the home turn.
 
CHRISTMASS CREEK – Raced wide for the majority.
 
WOTS WONG – Began awkwardly bumping with another runner.
 
MACKELLAR’S VOICE – Was bumped by another runner on jumping. Raced wide majority.
 
ZAGITOVA – Raced wide majority
