Raced wide in the early and middle stages.Race 2: SUNSET BUTCHERY QTIS Benchmark 55 Handicap 1450 metresMYOLA MILLY – Proved difficult load. Trainer T Parry was advised that a warning would be placed on the mare’s barrier manners.MISS FLAWLESS – Slowly away. Commenced to race ungenerously when resenting the kickback near the 1300m. App J Edwards advised that the mare never travelled comfortably in today’s conditions. Underwent a post-race Veterinary examination which revealed no abnormalities.WOTS WONG – Slowly away. Raced wide in the early stages.FA FA – Raced wide in the early stages.BOLD SAM – Raced wide for the majority.Race 3: CAVA HYDRAULICS Open Handicap 1000 metresWORLD OF PAIN – Began awkwardly. Raced wide for the majority.ANNIE LAUGHALOT – Slowly away after beginning awkwardly. Brushed with the hind quarters of SAFDIE shortly after the start. Raced wide for the majority. Jockey N Evans advised that the mare never travelled comfortably in today’s conditions. Underwent a post-race Veterinary examination which revealed no abnormalities.SAFDIE – Raced wide for the majority.Race 4: QH20 Maiden Plate 1100 metresSOLVUS – Resented the kickback in the middle stages.MISHANI DUDE – Raced wide for the majority.CAMBOOMYA – Lost touch with the field soon after the start taking no further competitive part in the event. Trainer’s representative P Inwood advised that it is the intention of the stable to retire the mare immediately. Nonetheless, Mr Inwood was advised that the mare would be required to trial satisfactorily. Underwent a post-race Veterinary examination which revealed swelling the near fore leg. Mr Inwood was advised that a Veterinary certificate of fitness would be required prior to the mare again being able to start in race.Following the running of Race 4 when viewing the patrol footage, Stewards became aware that MISHANI DUDE (J Hoopert) and MAYARI (K Ballard) had been loaded into and started from the incorrect barriers. After considering the matter and bearing in mind that the incident had no tangible effect on the result of the race, both Jockey Hoopert and Jockey Ballard were issued with a severe reprimand under the provisions of AR198(1). Starter M Cummings was subsequently questioned into the incident. Mr Cummings was admonished and advised to review his practices.Race 5: TREVOR MORRIS BUILDERS Class B Handicap 1200 metresWORDS UNSPOKEN – Underwent a pre-race Veterinary examination which revealed multiple skin abrasions to the limbs and was subsequently declared a late scratching at 3:18pm on Veterinary advice. As on course betting had not yet commenced, no deductions were applicable.KEIRETSU – Began awkwardly.GIGASTAR – Began awkwardly shifting out and inconveniencing KEIRETSU.MAHKOTA ROSE – Buffeted between runners soon after jumping, momentarily unbalancing DEEP SEEDED (FR) which was racing to the outside.DEEP SEEDED (FR) – Became unbalanced soon after jumping when bumped by MAHKOTA ROSE. Inclined to lay in when placed under pressure down the running. Jockey D Ballard reported that the gelding felt sore in the running. Underwent a post-race Veterinary examination which revealed swelling to the near fore fetlock.Race 6: GJB PLUMBING Benchmark 60 Handicap 1200 metresLORD GREYSTROKE – Jockey T Hill was fined the sum of $200 under the provisions of AR132(7)(a)(ii) in that he used his whip 9 occasions prior to the 100m. 4 more than what is permitted. 1st offence.STEWARDS RACE DAY SUMMARYSummary of action concerning licenseesReprimandsRace 4.
