WarrenStewards – R. Prowd, S. Nosworthy (Cadet)GENERAL 1. Jockey Micheal Mcdonald was unable to make the required weight for THE TYLER in Race 2 and DREAM HIGH in Race 3. The replacement for both THE TYLER and DREAM HIGH was Nor Yadi. Mr Mcdonald was reprimanded pursuant to AR190(3) for accepting rides when overweight. Race 1: CAVA GROUP QTIS Maiden Plate 1200M CHARGRILL – Raced wide in the early stages. NOBLE VALOUR – Slow to begin. Finished distanced from the field. When questioned on the performance, jockey M. Mcdonald stated that the gelding was having its first race start on sand and didn’t appreciate the heavy track conditions at Mount Isa today. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormality. PROJECT XERO – Raced wide throughout. Laid in under pressure over the concluding stages. AZCONPETE – Shifted out on jumping making heavy contact with PROJECT XERO. Shifted in passing the 1000 metres and bumped with SPOT ON SOPHIE, which became unbalanced. Raced wide throughout. BOOGIEWITHMAHBABY – On arrival at the barriers, BOOGIEWITHMAHBABBY kicked out and obtained a laceration to the near-side hind leg and was declared a late scratching at 1:05PM on veterinary advice. Upon the declaration of correct weight stewards ordered that all monies invested on BOOGIEWITHMAHBABY be refunded with the following deductions to apply – 1st (GROOVE CITY) – 13c the win, 12c the place2nd (PROJECT XERO) – 12c the place3rd (SPOT ON SOPHIA) – 12c the place. Trainer H. Robertson was advised that BOOGIEWITHMAHBABY would require a veterinary clearance prior to racing again. SAXON TIME – Bumped with GROOVE CITY on jumping. SPOT ON SOPHIA – Became unbalanced when bumped by AZCONPETE passing the 1100 metres. GROOVE CITY – Bumped with SAXON TIME on jumping. Raced keenly in the early stages. Race 2: CITY COUNTRY REALTY BENCHMARK 65 Handicap 1200MTHE TYLER – Raced wide throughout. BELLO BELLO – Slow to begin. Laid in under pressure over the concluding stages. SEIRYU – Laid in under pressure over the concluding stages. Race 3: KENLACH TRANSPORT BENCHMARK 55 Handicap 1000MHARCH ROAD – Shifted out on jumping bumping with RUSTY ROSE. When questioned on the disappointing performance of HARCH ROAD, Jockey Jason Missen stated that after beginning well and obtaining a forward position, the gelding improved onto the heels of INALA ATICUS approaching the 600 metres then resented the kickback in the middle stages. CHIKY CHIKY MAMA – Began awkwardly. Raced wide throughout. SHE’S A REVELATION – Raced wide throughout. RUSTY ROSE – Began awkwardly then bumped on jumping. Laid in under pressure over the concluding stages. Race 4: TREVOR MORRIS BUILDERS CLASS 4 Plate 1000MGOTTA FLY – Began awkwardly. Raced keenly in the early and middle stages. THE LAST CRUSADE – Raced wide throughout. PHILADELPHIA FREE – Began awkwardly. Raced wide throughout. Inclined to lay in over the concluding stages. TRICKETEER – Began awkwardly then bumped heavily with DATINKA. DATINKA – Began very awkwardly and bumped heavily with TRICKETEER. Raced ungenerously in the early stages then shifted wider to avoid kickback. Race 5: REMPLOY CIVIL CONTRACTING BENCHMARK 55 Handicap 1450MRace 5 was delayed 20 minutes to allow the on-course veterinarian to attend to BOOGIEWITHMAHBABY which had sustained a laceration to the near-side hind leg from Race 1. INSPIRATION – Slow into stride. THE BOI – Began awkwardly. Raced wide throughout. ROCKETING TO WIN – Shifted wider in the early stages to avoid kickback.
