After further inspection by Stewards and veterinarian Dr J Fearnley, an Inquiry was opened.Stewards heard evidence from Dr J Fearnley as to the possible reasons for the swelling being present. Trainer K Hill stated the mare has never been injected. After considering all the evidence provided and an undertaking from trainer Mrs K Hill that the mare had not been treated within the preceeding days, Stewards could not be satisfied that any breach of the Rules had taken place and therefore allowed the mare to take her place in Race 2. Stewards ordered that a pre-race urine sample be taken from CHILI DIPPER.
