Race 1: Harbourside Cold Stores/Sweeter Soils/GN Brewing Basalt Maiden Plate 1000 metres:
1st – BAR BAY 2nd – POTHOLES 3rd – LIFE’S A PICNIC 4th – LACH’S POCKET

MESSINES ROSE – Raced greenly throughout.

WINDSOR CASTLE – Slow to begin then failed to stretch out due to the kickback.

Race 2: GF Rural FNQ “Nimmo Plate” Class 3 Plate 1000 metres:
1st – WINDJAMMER 2nd – METEOR STORM 3rd – COWARDOFTHECOUNTY 4th – HIDDEN REIGN

The declaration of correct weight was delayed whilst the rider of second placegetter METEOR STORM viewed the photo finish. After having done so he was satisfied with the judge’s decision and correct weight was declared.

ALL ROSIE – Passing the 900 metres was crowded for room then was reluctant to stretch out thereafter.

WINDJAMMER – Passing the 900 metres had to be steadied when tightened for room.

COWARDOFTHECOUNTY – Was inclined to lay out rounding the home turn and carried another runner wider.

HIDDEN REIGN – Was bumped and carried wider rounding the home turn.

Race 3: Murphy Memorial “Vice Presidents’ Plate” Class 2 Handicap 1200 metres:
1st – REMOS 2nd – YIFAN 3rd – DREAMWARD BOUND 4th – NO BITING

When Jockey F Edwards was dually engaged, Stewards permitted Jockey S Wiseman to replace him as the rider of YIFAN. Jockey Edwards was reprimanded under AR175(k).

ROSE OF BLOOM – Slow to begin.

WANTABETHEONE – Began awkwardly.

NARSONS DUKE – Was inclined to lay out throughout.

UNI – Trainer Mr J Manzelmann reported that the gelding suffered a significant injury to its near fore fetlock and undertook to report back in the days subsequent.

Race 4: Tuff N Up Camp “Ladies Bracelet” Open Handicap 1200 metres:
1st – MINNIE STREET 2nd – SERGEANT SHRIVER 3rd – ZINDZELA 4th – STIEG

METEOROS – Was reluctant to parade to the barriers. Began very awkwardly resulting in apprentice L Attard making heavy contact with the barrier partition, becoming unbalanced in the saddle and taking no competitive part. Trainer Mr N Seymour undertook to remove the tongue tie from the gelding’s approved race gear however was advised that a warning would be placed on its record.

BO ROSSA – Was reluctant to stretch out due to the kickback.

Race 5: Collins Family & Undara/Topx Longreach “Fulford Plate” QTIS Benchmark 50 Handicap 1400 metres:
1st – I AM BRUSE 2nd – LARABEE 3rd – MOCCADILES 4th – ROYAL COUPE

VENCEREMOS – Reared at the start and lost ground.
