Race 1: LIBERTY RURAL RICHMOND MAIDEN       800 M
 
BRIENNO BELLE – swung sideways when the start was declared and took no competitive start. Warning placed.
 
Rider Kevin Connolly (SHINY GIRL), after easing down, dismounted prior to returning to the enclosure. Mr Connolly was attended to by the on-course medical personnel staff and found to be mildly dehydrated, with it being their recommendation that Mr Connolly forego his mount in race two. After rehydrating Mr Connolly was further examined by the medical personnel and cleared to take his mount in race three.
 
Race 2: STOCKPLACE MARKETING RESTRICTED (DIVISION 1)           800 M
 
TAORMINA MATCH – hampered at the start and settled back.
 
BOSTON BELLE – raced wide in the early stages.
 
BIG BAZ – dwelt at the start and then failed to recover any ground, finishing well back.
 
 
Race 3: PRESTON ROWE PATERSON PTY LTD RESTRICTED                   1,000M
 
HOSTILE LILY – was fractious prior to the start; refused to jump away and tailed the field at a distance. Connections were advised that a final warning had been placed on the mare with respect to her starting manners.
 
SIR TRUSTICE – raced wide in the early stages.
 
COKUM GIFT – slow in the early stages.
 
Following the event rider Kevin Connolly advised that he wished to stand down from his remaining engagements. Mr Connolly was advised that he must provide a medical clearance prior to him next riding.
 
 
Race 4: JC &JM O’CONNELL WESTERN PICNICS            800 M
 
No racing incidents.
 
Race 5: KATE WEDGWOOD MEMORIAL       1,200 M
 
ARIGOLD – was fractious prior to the start – warning placed.
 
 
Race 6: WILLY’S GIFT OPEN TROPHY RACE          1,600 M
 
CRAIGLEA ALTISE – travelled 3-wide without cover throughout.
 
SUPERVISOR – was slow to move away at the start and settled back; rider Douglas Bannister dismounted after the finish due to the gelding becoming fractious when being eased down.

 
Race 7: MARRIED TO THE LAND & SAUNDERS ELECTRICS RESTRICTED         1,000 M
 
BRENT STREET – gave ground from the 600 metres and finished well back.
 
 
Race 8: STOCKPLACE MARKETING RESTRICTED (DIVISION 2).          800 M
 
DRAG WAY dislodged rider D Owens during the pre-start formation and galloped an excessive distance before being recaptured – declared a late scratching at 4.31pm. Rider Owens was uninjured.
 
SHERIFF KENDELL – raced wide after the start.
 
UZERLI – ran wide at the start.
